Hey @denogginizer,
There is indeed cross-commerce/cross-progression in Battlefield 2042, however, it is stated as follows:
"While there are a few limitations to cross-progression we want to make you aware of, such as Special Edition cosmetics, the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, unspent Premium Currency and pre-order items not carrying over, we’re excited about giving you the freedom to play and progress wherever you choose to play."

Regarding the Year 1 Pass; more information on the Passes to come in the future! Keep an eye out on our official channels for news & updates!
So, you are saying the Year 1 pass will not cross over and I will have to purchase it separately on Xbox in order to access content?
- 4 years ago@denogginizer Also, I am speaking of the Year1 pass, not preorder items or special edition cosmetics.

@denogginizer, at the moment there is, unfortunately, no specific news available if the Year 1 Pass will carry over or that it has to be purchased separately on the platforms you play the game on and want to make use of the Pass, therefore I have mentioned: more information on the Passes (how/what) to come in the future! Keep an eye out on our official channels for news & updates. 🙂

I suggest you make that distinction of the year pass not being a “purchase” that crosses over from the platform you purchased it on to others. I bought the XSX version under the false impression that a year 1 pass was “purchase” and would be accessible. To be honest, I feel mislead given that the Year 1 pass is the only purchase one can make for BF2042.

Very misleading, I agree.
- 4 years ago@EA_Leeuw Can you then explain what “purchases” if not the Year 1 Pass will carry over from PlayStation to Xbox or PC or vice versa? I am enjoying the game quite a bit and have been playing since it’s inception. This matter is undercutting the joy quite a bit. One typically does not warm well to misleading marketing involving $40 purchases.

Can confirm that using Year 1 Pass content on one platform causes loadout resets when playing on other platforms. Stats carry over, but the cosmetics and gun loadouts reset to baseline when you load into a new game. I have had to unselect all cosmetics on PS5. Basically, buying the year 1 pass and two copies of the game on different platforms is negating the only available year 1 pass content. Hardly worth the extra $40 paid early. But I guess once you have that money, it is not a big enough concern. I will not buy a second year 1 pass. Ridiculous.
