@RipGroove99 Stodeh is a long time Battlefield creator and probably wished to give some support to his core franchise and hang in there, but I think he is down to the wire now. Having to point out so many prominent core gameplay and design mistakes is probably very disappointing. Take a look at Stodeh here in 2016 at the Battlefield 1 premiere and see the difference in how clear of a vision devs at DICE had with Battlefield 1 and the initial speech by Patrick Söderlund (27:40). Different devs, different game.
What amazes me is how little DICE chose built on the foundation of Battlefield with what the previous devs had built up with older titles when taking into account how many of the current devs were new to the franchise and had only a few years experience at the studio. When Patrick Söderlund left EA in 2018 he took with him many talents and DICE kept bleeding talent to his new founded studio long after and even up until recently. Great leaders bring together great talent and just like a movie is very much the director and actors, a game is very much the creative leadership and the devs. I think we have to look to other studios to find the quality we are used to from old DICE and simply follow the talent.
Initially the idea of a WW1 game was rejected by EA, but the talent at DICE at that time managed to put together a very convincing concept that promised to break new ground for the franchise and it really did. Battlefield 1 is the best game they ever made and it was at a peak time for the studio with talents coming together which enabled this to happen.
