Thanks for all the support and pts guys! Glad to see how much people are affected by this, as am I. I'm just praying that one of the devs is actually reading the forums, sees this post, and makes a move finally...
- 4 years ago@TDawg262 No need to say thank you mate, support is what we should do in a time like this which by the way, keeps happening every bloody Battlefield release. Like BF4 took 16 months to finally be fixed. BF2042 got put back a month due to "bug fixing" apparently, so what the hell were they doing for that time!?!
@b0n3zy I agree mate, it has been a very big let down. I haven't played a Battlefield game since BF4 and that was 6 years ago. So was actually looking forward to playing BF2042 but now... nothing but the deflated feeling with the game. - 4 years ago

Only getting a console and playing BF3 for maybe a week before BF4 came out is probably one of my biggest disappointments, as I remember people saying how 3 was really good as well.
To be brutally honest, if things don't turn around pretty quickly with sorting these issues out, BF2042 might finally be the last one I buy and play until they prove they can actually sort their development issues out. It's about time they made one that actually works moderately well on reasonable server provisions from day one.

@iBeKrudei I guess you didn't play BF1 and 5 because you prefer modern gunplay, right?
I wasn't very keen too but you missed a great game in BF1 and in BF5...Well, in BF 5 you didn't miss anything lol.
I put in a solid 230 hours in BF5 mind you but we just did it cause we have been playing BF since 1942 came out with the same crowd (we are all around 45-48 now).
It still registers in my mind as a total train wreck from start to finish (the politics, the bugs, lacklustre gun tweaking, the firestorm disaster). It was actually this mess that got me to purchase my first COD (MW), 15 years after buying my last COD game.
It's just a downward spiral for DICE since BF1 with most of the OG developers jumping ship and it just baffles me how they had the audacity to claim they were well ahead of schedule and get us all hyped for this one and then release this mess. Yes, most of you will say that this is how BF games roll and they eventually get fixed but I am sceptical about that after the BF5 disaster. They just should have delayed it or waited at least for the holidays IMO. And yes, Portal CAN be fun and will improve over time but - at least for me - the nostalgia faded pretty fast. Games have evolved since then and would have much preferred they offered a solid new release, instead of relying on my nostalgia to play on Arica Harbor again with questionably better graphics...

@b0n3zyBF5 wasn't entirely horrible. Right around the Pacific, the game was definitely in its golden period, and I had a really good time.
As for their claims with being ahead of schedule, I completely agree. It just baffles me how they made the decision to cancel development on one of their current titles (BF5) giving themselves basically an extra year of "development" for their next Battlefield game, but somehow STILL manage to release it with all these issues? It's like, what have you guys been doing all this time? Lol...
As for our progression issue we are all experiencing, this honestly would've never happened if they didn't F with the XP system, which is what I think caused this in the first place. And you know what the crazy thing is? They said that they would have measures and certain things in place to prevent any Portal exploitations from the beginning XD
I just don't get it man, it hurts my brain... - 4 years ago@b0n3zy Yeah mate, modern warfare is what I enjoy most. I did play the BF1 beta but didn't like the game, WW1 isn't my style for games. I do think it's awesome that you've been playing with friends for that long, must have a lot of fun memories.
@TDawg262 It's mind blowing innit mate, will never understand it either.
Fingers crossed we get some sort of fix tomorrow but knowing our luck we have right now, probably be Friday unfortunately. Even acknowledging the issue would be a start I suppose.
