I am experiencing the exact same problem. I have the necessary amount of kills to unlock specific attachments for the base assault rifle, and the kill counter shows I have the necessary amount of kills, except the attachment is still "Locked" and says I need to "Unlock Mastery Level 1." Pretty frustrating.

@avicfade I noticed that yesterday mate so I'm guessing they have seen this thread considering the stats of it now. This is why I keep coming back to the thought that I think this is intentional and it's a real shame. There's more and more videos being made on YouTube about this issue and I've already commented on a few basically advising people to not buy this game yet until it's fixed.

They might be running down the clock on our eligibility to get a refund.
Might be for the best to get a refund now and then buy the game again, if and only after they fix it.

    @iBeKrudei Last I looked into this, for another game, Sony's policy was that they'd give refunds only if none of the game had been downloaded.
    
    However they didn't enforce that policy for the mess that was Cyberpunk and allowed people to refund.
    
    As it stands, BF2042 is not providing what was advertised, so I think Sony should honour a refund request.
