so does that mean that you can only get vehicle kills progression is normal matches and not custom anymore
I just noticed a massive difference in gameplay on the preset solo modes from my portal matches so I checked the performance graph and in portal matches I’m getting 45 hz and in the preset solo matches I’m only getting 20 hz so if you play solo your best doing it in portal otherwise the performance will be horrible.
Yes, I noticed that too. Since few weeks playing in preset AoW Solo mode has become weird, I'm on ps5 and i feel a lot of difference. It looks like fps are lower than before and I'm experiencing some graphic glitches. The only way to play solo modo without any issues is in a custom portal server.
@CiroEmanuele Yeah it’s instantly noticeable I don’t know why they would do that horrible decision.
@UGCHazard Yeah I have been playing rush on portal modes been enjoying it I also created a 2042 soldiers vs ww2 soldiers mode with a storyline on conquest it’s quite fun but has limited xp then I tried to play the preset solo breakthrough and noticed a massive performance difference.
@UGCHazard Wish I could fully tier 1 all my weapons in solo maybe sometime in the future.
@UGCHazard Yeah xp isn’t a priority for me either I would happily sacrifice xp so I could grind the weapons and vehicles to tier 1 I have already done most of the tier 1 on assault rifles I just want to do the rest against the bots it’s what I enjoy.

If you've been under a hole since season 4 then good news for you. BP progression now fully counts and as do ribbons. XP (except for ribbon XP) and mastery however are still capped. In order to get this, you need to make a portal experience with AI in Rush, TDM and Conquest (large counts too) but you CANNOT make any modifiers with bots whatsoever. One small change will cap it heavily like before. You can however still experience everything including BF1942, BC2 and BF3 if you keep the map defaults on.
A event is coming up and free rewards can be earned via ribbons. My only concern is it might be specifically for the limited game mode. Hopefully we can host it with bots ourselves or just play regular bot matches and ribbons count outside of the mode.
@Tman26242You can now unlock all the weekly missions and some ribbon XP, which of course helps you to get through the BP faster.
This does not however work in Solo/Coop (AOW).
You must create a new Portal mission and while doing this you can only touch 2 settings during this process...pick a map and add ONLY PvP bots (assuming you want bots).
Do NOT add PvE bots and do not touch any settings at all...leave everything else as default and then save it and go play it, but do NOT use a password on the server (unlikely anyone joins anyway most of the time).
You will soon see that you are earning ribbons and finally unlocking missions and getting lots of BP points.
There's a catch though...you won't win too many of the matches if you play like this because the sides are unevenly matched and you will always be outnumbered with TONS of enemy vehicles typically. So you won't win too many matches, and the enemy bots are aimbots that are great at insta-killing you through a keyhole using a hand gun, lol.

Haven't touched BF2042 since Season 3. Just became burnt out a bit, especially after trying to get the game to run smoothly after S3's CPU bottleneck problems (never had these issues prior). Thought I'd come back to check things out with Season 4, and I still think 2042 is really mediocre. Sure, it's nice to see new content and have the classes back somewhat, but the game still has issues at its core that really stick out...
Despite all that, this is the only battlefield with a decent singleplayer/coop bots mode, so that's a big thing for me. I'll probably make a portal experience for only unlocking stuff against ai, and set it up like you guys described, and then go back to my old experiences with PVE ai and modifiers when I just want to chill out and have fun.
Anyway, thanks again guys. I can't believe this thread is still alive lol. It's been almost a year and a half since I created it XD

We 're in the same boat together. I feel the same exact way as I waited what seems like decades for bots to make a return to the series. I also took a number of months away from 2042 with no play and have just returned about a week ago to try again.
Maybe we should play a few together as teammates, I'm in the Northeast U.S. time zone, and I'm an older player (in my 50's).

Nice! Can you explain how you could create a portal experience with:
- Conquest (regular maps size, for 64 player)
- 128 players (hopefully AI bots)
- without restrictions for masteries, xp, weekly's and BP's progrees
I'm asking for that because, stating on some devs rules in order to keep moderate xp / weekly missions / ribbons / accessories and weapons unlock, after setting PvP AI we can not touch anything else, including bots number, difficulty etc, except for map rotation.

@UGCHazardYea but I'm assuming there that since you changed that setting you will not be able to earn weekly missions, which is where all the extra BP's come from.
