"All experience you earned in Battlefield™ 2042 is universal and shared across all its modes, which means you’ll be leveling up and unlocking new weapons, gadgets, and cosmetics no matter which mode you’re playing."
November 12th. early access becomes available. pay an extra 30 dollars (or more) to get in 7 days early.
November 12th. portal action taken. no more mastery tracking or ribbons.
November 18th. still little or no acknowledgement of the issue.
November 18th. this is the 5th entire day (out of 7 total that you paid extra for) that you cannot play the mode the promised you on the 10th.
Speculation: they want to leave a bunch of stuff turned off and they are weighing the legal implications of their options. It's the only thing I think would make sense for radio silence. It's something many companies do when there is a security violation or data breach or potential lawsuit. They make a "war room" and only people who are "need to know" have any idea whats going on in that room until they can formulate a legalese way forward with their plans.
Suggestion: return the game if you can. at least get your 30-50 dollars for early access back since you didn't get the access you were told you were paying for. If/when they fix it get the standard edition (unless of course you want the skins and whatever from gold or ultimate). Don't feel discouraged about your play time. when false advertising is in play all the distributors of the product are on the hook so it is likely whatever platform you bought the game on will be willing to help if you are polite and descriptive of what your expectations were, why those were your expectations, and how those expectations were circumvented AFTER you paid for the game.
I know we've all been feeling pretty * over but just remember that the people you are able to get in contact with are support people and they rarely are anywhere near the actual dev teams. their primary function is to help people use the game not really to fix it. Those people CANNOT fix anything and very likely have no idea what the plan is for resolution or in some cases are even given a gag order.
Just try to stay positive and kind when dealing with support. They are having a bad day too because of this game.
- 4 years ago@finiteworm66 One of the things I noticed was, when the feature was announced (AI progression) was the lack of coverage from the Youtubers and News media a like. It kinda feels like this is intentional to put people with different taste in enjoying games into a basket and putting them aside from the crowd of people.

One (of many) things I absolutely hate about games companies is that they seem to always get away with stuff that no one else would.
No one else can promise so much in their products, and then either release them with them missing, or disabled after release, and nothing happens.
