I periodically check this specific thread with some naive hopes that only get crushed every time I connect to this site. Abandon hope, abandon ship, rn I am just having my fps fun with Escape from Tarkov SOLO mod (SPT) and I guess you should try it.

Pretty musch BS to have to do that to find an AI match to get something we all paid for.

DICE if you are reading this we will not forget. - phoremat3 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
We all remember that...they're hoping we would forgot about it
- 3 years ago
@phorematMore likely they just don't care in the least that they made those commitments.
I sincerely doubt a single DICE/EA employee even looks at this thread anymore. That's why we're the dumping ground for PVE related tickets and complaints.
Why would it matter to them that a few thousand of us can't enjoy the game we bought the way it was originally sold to us, they have our $100 (+/-). - 3 years ago@wildchld I made yet another post about it, let's start the countdown until it gets moved here, deleted or locked for simply mentioning PVE/asking for an ETA on a fix.

I honestly thought before the release of the game that Solo/Co-op was going to be like Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s Co-op mode. Full progression and fun with your friends against AI, but I got disappointed (my friends included) with the horrible progression limit. Even though having a PVE mode in SWB2, it still had lots of players in PVP, I doubt they think allowing full progression for BF2042 will make it have less players in PVP. They really should remove the cap in AOW at least.
Now with the season 1 of the game, it’s a tedious grind not allowing the missions to be completed in AOW Solo/Co-op. Each tier you level up, it requires more XP so can imagine how much it will take.
- DominickB33 years agoSeasoned Ace@marcosolid I also fully thought the co-op would be just like battlefront 2. That mode actually brought back players to the game that had moved on. Figured they would use that example as why there should be full co-op progress. They even tried to sell the solo/co-op mode as a way to get just as much out of 2042 as someone who would normally play campaign.
- 3 years ago@DominickB3 I might get SW:BF2 just for that next time it goes on some very big sale. In the meantime I guess we can cross our fingers that EA wakes up regarding BF2042

Aaaand still no comms about any of this...
This thread isn't gonna die lol. It's going to keep going until we get some proper insight.
It's pretty clear what everyone wants in here regarding AOW Solo/Coop, but just to recap...
-The ability to progress through weekly and battlepass challenges
-Options for 128 player maps
-Randomized teams each game, or the ability to choose before you start (every map is US, and only a handful are RUS)
-Mastery progression past level 12 (understandable if this cannot be done...)
Can we please get some more info on this @Straatford87 @EA_Atic @PartWelsh ? You have a good amount of people here who are willing to atleast play the game and get some enjoyment out of it if these issues are dealt with...
- 3 years ago@Tman26242 I don't think anyone will answer us tbh. They will lock the thread at some point when the original post becomes old and we are "just necroing the thread"
- 3 years ago@Ober_Commandant It is a much more serious problem now tbh, with the battlepass being so grindy at later tiers it's going to be impossible to finish it as a solo player.
Its safe to say our man Tman nailed it, i've decreased my playtime drastically ever since battlepass release due to the xp caps and complete lack of solo progression.
I would be more willing to spend money within the game and keep playing as long as they address these issues. even if they lock the thread i'm sure there will be more to rise from the ashes.
Look at Venice unleashed for BF3, there is a couple of good mods for that that adds bots. Not only that but there are still people playing BF3 with those bots solo.
I'm willing to bet if they could, they would jump on 2042 PvE if it was more rewarding and actually fed progression properly. - 3 years ago
@Tman26242 As of yesterday I’m going to start tweeting battlefield comms and freeman everyday until we get an answer cos I’m fed up and they aren’t listening.
if anyone wants to join in feel free to do so, I plan to tweet everyday at 6:45 GMT

@united_we_ride"Look at Venice unleashed for BF3, there is a couple of good mods for that that adds bots."
Huh? What are you talking about here.... there are (legal) bot mods for BF3 that will allow me to play on all those maps by myself?....I didn't think that was possible, can you provide a link?EDIT** - never mind, I looked it up and it's a bit of a hassle since you first need to have a dedicated server to run things on before you even consider installing VU, and then the bot mod for VU.
- 3 years ago@united_we_ride they merged other threads into this one to hide them... so my point stands regarding the fact they will keep ignoring us unfortunately
I really want bf2042 to be enjoyable so while I sound negative I'd love it if they fixed it so I could go back to it... - 3 years ago@BigShottt It's actually extremely easy to setup.
But yes Venice Unleashed is legal and you require BF3 legally to play.
Venice unleashed comes with 120hz 60hz and 30hz servers that you just click to run.
just gotta create a folder structure in your documents folder for it. - BigShottt3 years agoSeasoned Ace@united_we_ride Ah ok, sounds interesting. I looked into something like this a couple years ago but found nothing so maybe this is rather new then. What is performance like as far as fps goes because it sound like we'd be running a dedi server app on the same machine that we're running the BF3 game?

wow again some mod merged one of my posts with another thread
this thread is about the XP progression of Coop\PVE in general and I answered to a topic related to coop\pve and the season pass progression which are for me totally different topics
and due to the fact that the season 1 has started some days ago I think it is relevant to point out that this is a problem for part of our community
and that DICE is still capping the XP for Coop\PvE is unbelievable for me and I'm a PvP only player
whith this cap the grind for the season pass will be huge and getting frustrating especially when you don’t have the premium pass and can’t do weekly mission
To burry such topic in another huge thread is shame and not a solution
As I said before we are all one big community which wants to have fun with the game and we all know the game is already struggling
Sorry for my off topic but this should not happen in such a way
See you on the Battlefield

@CountSeroUnfortunately, we're just not a high enough priority, it seems...
I just wanna play AOW Solo/Coop with 128 maps and different teams each game...I'm sick of playing the smaller maps while always being on the US team. It's such a simple thing to fix lol.
- 3 years ago@BigShottt i get a consistent 120fps on max settings with max bots, sometimes the BF3 grenade spam on metro makes me dip to 100 but its not an issue.
- 3 years ago@CountSero I agree, i noticed they merged the posts and was really pissed off. It just makes the issue get seen less and less, which at this point it feels like DICE and EA are doing regarding this issue. I hate that the gaming industry treats its customers like garbage and never listens to what will keep the playerbase playing.
Its all about how fast they can pump out games with content to keep players paying.
They seem to completely disconnect themselves from reality and plug themselves into their ceos pockets. - boleje733 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
Just to give an example of how much of a serious grind the battle pass is for the solo player. You've probably noticed that the amount of XP increases per tier to get that single point toward the next tier. There is a screenshot out there on Reddit from a guy who is level 44 advancing to 45. The amount of XP required is 8000 for a single point. So thats 88000 XP you would need to have to advance from 44 to 45. I can't imagine what it is at level 70 or 80....
- BigShottt3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@boleje73Welp, guess I won't be buying anything to do with Battlepass related features from EA/DICE any longer, since they don't seem to want most of it accessible via Solo/Coop. Solo/Coop is all I play, never competitive.
Next time they want to sell me a BF with bots in it I'll just save the extra $30-$40 by only buying the base game and nothing else. That's assuming we ever see another BF with bots like this.
- 3 years ago@boleje73 oh, is that seriously real? ah, well, looks like will actually have to listen to people or riots are gonna break out.

I collecting data from my progression ^^ I'm only an average player and if I’m lucky I still get 1 season pass lvl with two games but I think that I need three games for the next lvl
(The first 17 lvl are not accurate because I didn’t thought the XP increase would be so quick)
- 3 years ago@CountSero Nice work man! that data is really handy, at the very least once all the data is filled out, you can work out a rough figure per day needed. I'm currently 4/10 on level 17 and the XP amount is 4k for that. Damn that's a steep ramp they're building.
Makes me even more mad that this has been ignored by DICE for 8 months and they don't have a solution for it still.
