PS5 Controller not working properly on EA titles

Question

Hi, when i play EA games on PC with a ps5 control it always displays my controller as an xbox controller and quite frequently it glitches while playing and just snaps my aim all the way up for some reason. I'v tried changing cable and switching controllers but it's the same thing. I launch my games through steam as well but i'm still having the same problem. I've even tried to override and tell it to use steam controller settings but still no luck. I've re-installed the app and games bust still having the same problem. I haven't had any luck finding this solution online. I'd love for some community help if possible.

Steam is emulating the Ps5 controller to look like a Xbox controller. Ps5 controllers use the DirectInput API, but Battlefield only supports XInput API which is what Xbox controllers use.

You can try using a different Xbox controller emulator app such as DS4Windows and see if maybe it works better than Steam's Xbox controller emulator. You'll probably need to disable Steam Input so the two emulators don't conflict with each other.
