Aim assist is still completely broken. I have it at 70 /20 and it’s still very inconsistent

I knew from my readings in the forum that controllers have their problems like M&K.
From PC side, Dice worked on it and M&K seems better, but we still have problems and we still suffer from strange false mouse inputs... Soo i guessed it was mostly the same with controllers.
My question was most about the variations. When a system fails, it usually do something garbage.. but it may do a miracle.
@erickonasis32 I don't know anything about your settings on consoles, "70/20" you can adjust different levels?
In this case it might be impossible to find how to reproduce what 've seen.
On M&K i have seen on rare occasions my shot do weird lucky hit, and thought: "hum, thanks Dice the hitmox is a joke or the server is laggin but from here i thought this shot was a miss."
Soo i asked myself, do controller users have sometimes this feeling about aim assist, like "it's borderline working 99% of the time, but one shot over 10000 is godlike".
Ok all of this discussion wouldn't change anything about the game, we would prefer a stable system i think we all agree. This is more a philosphical question, to undersatnd how it works.
Thanks you all guys for your answers.
Framerate on PC is really bad too. My PC is 4 years old but still decent (I7 7700 / GTX 1070 / 32Go ram), it runs well most of the games i play with, except this BF. All on lower graphics 1080p i have huge frame drops and 128 players is unplayable for me.
In BF2042 most PC players have really low FPS and can be compared to last gen consoles. Some PC players have an advantage but most of the time it's not as huge as you seems to think.
But yes, if you get a 5000€ PC from daddy and internet with optic fibre, you will score a lot and claim that you have more skill than others on Twitch...
😉
It's another subject, but i've read that the guys from Dice who created the Frosbite Engine at Dice all left the studio slowly years after years. And now Dice struggle with their own engine... Don't know if it's true mbut it seems credible.

The next gen consoles are bouncing between 40 to 60. They are not stable 60 during combat.
It's like a cheat in the game it only takes a few PC players with high end systems to ruin it for every console player.
As far as aim assit it's a complete joke. It's more like the stars have to aligned to get it to work. So no it's not 99% of the time working.. its maybe once a match it will snap aim. Snap aim does nothing for horizontal and vertical tracking. Making tracking pc players extremely frustrating do to keyboard movement is more erratic then what you can do on a controller. Sticky aim assit is completely missing.- Anobix4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@xXHappy_PuppyXxThat makes me wonder how much of a benefit/where the diminishing returns are for FPS when the tickrates for the servers are relatively low (I think 45hz?) when in older games they would be 60+.
(FWIW I run at 4K on a 120hz screen with g-sync turned on, generally average between the 90-120fps range depending on what's going on) - 5900x/3080/32GB DDR4/etc

Proximity balls being shot are hacks lol I have just ran into the same scenario and me and my friends were getting them shot constantly!
Console users TURN OFF CROSSPLAY!
