Question regarding damage modifiers and progression in portal servers.

I am curious about if is is intended now for there to be full progression on portal servers who are having increased damage output or not (not bots).

Because I am aware of the great lengths that had been taken near the launch to throttle any attempts of people to take finish their masteries faster in portal, I am wondering if there has been a legitimate relaxation of the portal limitations or if people have been using a loophole that might get them in trouble someday.

TLDR: It is intended that we can get full progression on higher damage portal servers now (vs players. not bots)?

@UP_Hawxxeye or you could just not play on those servers. they obviously had no issue with it because they set the parameters for full progression

I just want to know if this was intentional and not some leftover from a bug.
I wanted to know which of the two it is
I absolutely do not have any issues about what others do in portal servers and I wish DICE also did not.

@UP_Hawxxeye i am going to press "x" to doubt on your intentions for mentioning this

i haven't tried it yet but i'm going to. if others are enjoying it and you don't care then it's best to let sleeping dogs lie. we don't get much in this game so if people are having fun with servers with damage cranked up then leave it be.

show me an example of them banning someone for playing portal and i'll buy that reasoning for posting

So let it be and water down the accomplishment for everyone that got T1 the old fashioned way? It's just like the old Diablo cheat where you could get on a server and get all the highest gear and just wreck the dungeons. How is that fair or balanced? It should be against ToS....

@Prof3ss0r_M1k3I know an example of a person I knew in my clan who got the boot for killing too many bots for tier 1 progression in solo/coop mode in the early days of the game. (unless they also did other things that they did not admit)
Since then I am paranoid about what is allowed or not.

That's not quite what I meant, it should be against ToS because it alters the game in such a way as to provide an advantage. If Dice is doing it, then maybe it's a mistake and should be pointed out and not left well enough alone? Otherwise, I'm with the thought that they should respond with, "we're fixing it" or "no it's fine, hack away".

@Echo6Echo how is it a hack? it makes the game more realistic. you get shot once or twice and you're dead. the mil sim people have always dug that * (not my cup of tea usually but i'd like to check it out for a game and see what it's about)
