R.I.P Battlefield.
Well, what can I say? As a long, die hard fan of battlefield over the years you, EA/Dice really have let go of the steering wheel and veered right over a sheer cliff drop. What a shame. Not o...
Back in bf2 they actually used to communicate...even do right ups in the forums explaining things, doing Q and A.
It's amazing how much it drops the intensity of things when you actually talk to people, people will even forgive things they just couldn't fix because they were let in on why it was an issue.
By outright ignoring the forums and going dark they stop being people and just sort of become a soulless void that the masses feel like they have to scream at to get a message across and never get any response back to say the message is understood.
Welcome to the world we now live in! It's like this all over and in every area of our lives.
The question is… why is it toxic in the first place? How could you possibly think releasing a game like this would have 0 backlash. They should own it and talk with the fans to make it right. Not hide in the shadows for fans who want a triple A battlefield game and worth their $50-$100. The players who want refunds should be granted them.
Prob my last post here for a while. I still play 2042 for a bit. Its still painfully fun. But Im at the 'dont care anymore' point now. Dice/EA dont really care and i think the disconnect is now very obvious from some of the dev twitter posts (which they of course always delete later).
I dont want to play a companies game, esp. BF, where the developer thinks that asking, no begging for basic core elements, are 'brutal expectations'. Are these guys really just noobs? In the end, all most wanted was a good new BF, based on what was already established, with some awesome maps, levolution, destruction and team play. 2042 has none of that. Its bland, woke and unfinished.
Since i paid for the gold edition, i will def check out the new content when it comes out. Maybe i will see you all then. Until then, everything else is a waste of time.
And while im on a roll...this is how much Dice is listing to their community. Again. Its like they want to destroy their franchise. But heh, if you like this sorta stuff, i guess 2042 is really for you.
