How do you give commands to Ranger? This is on PC. Also how do you attached C4 to it? Is there a limitation on distance for commands to be acted on?
Hold Q for the comm rose, at the bottom are shown how to issue commands (E to send ranger out, E+E to follow). I wish there was a separate key binding for issuing commands since the comm rose is buggy, or at least an easier way to command its movement.

The ranger is useless you can only get to use it for self destruct or move to different locations

Beg to differ. I always send it out ahead of me when advancing on a control point since it auto targets enemies well before I see them. It basically functions like a mobile Boris turret.
