It's a real shame that Battlefield has been reduced to this and it's high time DICE reversed their decision.
MM has got to be replaced if BF2042 is to survive.
Please define "survive"?
Sorry for teasing you @RayD_O1 , but personally feel that BF2042 has been in a vegetative state since around January 2022 or there about. Only still 'clinically alive' because its on artificial life support on a heart & lung machine 24/7. :o)
Expect it to be switched off shortly after the Season4 pack will drop and no further legal claims outstanding with the sold licenses...
Adding a server browser would be nice, yes. Even at this point way beyond 'late stage'. But reality is that BF2042 was near being a still born baby from birth. And having multiple and substantially severe disabilities. Hereof many still present today. So adding the server browser is not going to make the overall situation much better. Think that conclusion was already reached as well by the EA Higher Ups almost 1 year ago by now. And ultimately the reason why no substantial fixes have been added and all been drip fed of small fixes along the way by a skeleton crew.
The core is beyond salvation, the vast majority of players have fled and they are not coming back no matter.
Hence the resources, money and dev folks are better placed to work on the next big thing instead.
And it ain't BF2042 v1.02. :o)
The really big question is what the EA DICE learnings have been from this?
Aka also this super long thread on that singular game function of having a server browser in the BF game.
Will we get it now in the next big new BF game release?
I surely hope so!
And actually also come to the personal tipping point, that if it is not, I wont buy it.
I am done with it. No more compromises and hoping EA/DICE will come good and listen to the customers along the way...
