Re: Assigned Enemies

@Psubond Okay, here's this example from just now. Three matches. In each match, there are three different players I have encountered in recent days. Every match encounter, they pop out, instantly kill me, and then vanish until they do it again. Each time I finally have them dead, the kill ends up being stolen. They do this across multiple matches. The deaths are instantaneous, and they frequently stare at you before breaking cover. Its obvious some of them are using wallhacks to know precisely when to appear, because they never just happen across you, they actively go toward you even when nothing happened to give you away. No gadgets, not gunfire, no abilities, often too distant for footsteps. Three separate rounds, three separate players previously encountered who take excessive damage, perfectly track you, and instantly kill you. Every time you're about to land a kill on them, its stolen. Every time you're about to be killed, nothing there to save you. Two of them are low rank, one is a low S-rank. Yet they never appear anywhere to be ambushed or shot at save for a rare occasion when, as mentioned, teammates end up shooting them. The ability to constantly avoid being seen, and always ambush, is a give away that they are using a wallhack. It helps them avoid people and then attack perfectly every single time. So if the game isn't actively giving a handful more armour and better damage against you, then they're cheating, because this repeating cycle makes no sense otherwise. Especially considering I'm far more observant than the majority of players I've come across. You never hear them approaching you. Ever.

the game doesn't designate anyone for me to kill.  yea, i run into the same person a few times in a match but that is because i like to play in the areas of the map that they do too.  surely you have areas on the map that you tend to stick to

ask yourself this.  which is more likely?

    1) you have preferences on areas on the map that has you run into the same people because they have the same preferences on areas on the map and the net code is kinda unreliable in this game and you  die sometimes

    2) DICE wrote a complicated algorithm to make sure you get killed all the time?

@Moab23take a screenshot after death that shows your score against them. You must have players that you are 0-5 against (or worse). This would make your concern more credible because I do have some theories that this would fall under, but not for the reasons you are giving.

    My theories:
    1. There is a bug that shows the wrong player name that you encountered. Most likely. Have you ever seen in the kill log, Player 8 or Player 10? The game tracks by player number, not player name. So it is very easy for this to be broken where the same player or players show up over and over again on your client. This also goes for the Specialist/Skin they are using. That is what you see, not necessarily who they really are.
    2. DICE gives random player names to bots. How many players use lowercase characters for their entire names? Apparently 90%. To me it just seems odd that so many players have such random and basic names. They feel like they are randomly generated. Hmmm.
    3. DICE randomizes player names in general, so the player killing you might not actually be the one that is. The same goes for the scoreboard. It is all fake.

To be honest, I have noticed this before. I would die and think the death was odd. Spawn somewhere completely random and away from that player, then encounter them again seconds later at the new location. One time I literally spawned, ran to a completely random part of the map totally out of view of any player, friend or foe, and within 30 seconds, that player just randomly popped up out of what felt like nowhere and killed me. I just quit.

MANY things happen in BF2042 that people are unaware of.

I thought your OP was hilarious, then I realised you were serious..

    LOL

    Who knows though man..

    Stranger things have happened.

  • @Psubond Yes, because certain players of varying rank just happen to always be in the exact same position as you, back to back, sometimes at opposite ends of the map, don't they?

@Adamonic Probably not allowed to screenshot with player names and put them here. The number of deaths against me is always, at the least, four. Always. You can have a single digit rank player who will inexplicably zap you and it will always be four times or more. Every match has 3-4 payers who do this, and they're either impossible to kill, or constantly ambush you in a manner that suggests they constantly know your precise location. They're frequently on the higher ratio of KDR as well, so when I see brand new players doing this, something is off.

@Moab23 Oh for posting purposes, I just white/black out the names.

I have seen a few like this where the player is something like 10-30, but has 5-6 kills against me lol. So I have no clue if the scoreboard is even accurate outside of your own stats.

@Adamonic I'll aim to get some when I can. I normally screencap a scoreboard in the off chance I can't remember a nametag to report when I see dodgy stuff.
