I wasn't aware of that.

In that case of course it would be unwise to buy the one that skips tiers.

If I remember it right, in season 5 there was only one premium, for 1000 coins.

So just to clarify, if you buy the Premium pass at this late stage, do you get retrospectively awarded things like the various 100 BF Boins / XP Boosts etc that you would have earned had you bought it at the outset. ? 

@SharpGoblin yes there are two of them available. I saw them myself in the store as i bought myself the 1000 BC one. Because i didn't want to skip any Tiers as they wouldn't count towards my T1 anyway.

I would say so cause the game will then (either after a restart or after playing a match to synchronize) recognize your premium ownership and give you the rewards that you already passed at this time.

I can't confirm it myself tho as i bought it right at the beginning already.

If it wouldn't work then the premium upgrade bundles shouldn't continue showing up for you in the store as soon as you passed one of the premium rewards. 

And if you would have the issue that the game doesn't give them to you even if it should, there is still the EA support to contact.

Well, that is how I understand it now, with@UP_LordPlumber 's info here:

Also with that info in mind, I guess this ingame info about premium should be understood that way too.

I guess, when the season 6 comes I will just try to buy premium at a later time than right when it's published.

I'll see what happens.

But what still intrigues me is the fact of there being 2 premium versions at different prices, one which skips tiers and one that does not.

I don't really remember for the last season.

I will pay a close attention to that when season 6 arrives.

Not buying the wrong premium might solve all issues.

@SharpGoblin if you buy it a later time tho, you miss some time that you can make use of the 20% XP boost you get with being Premium owner. Cause this one runs during the whole season time.

So if you make use of it during the whole time you play while season is going on, you get an extra 20%XP boost for everything you earn while playing. That also helps your overall player lvl 😉

@SharpGoblin and yes there was for sure two versions to buy for Premium upgrade for Season5. The one that skips 20 Tiers and the one that doesn't.

@UNL1M1T3D_P0W3R doesn't make sense especially if you want to still go for the T1 badge of the season. 

Because the skipped ones don't count towards it anyway. And those 20 are 200 points.

If you play beyond the BP lvl 100 (where you have 1000 points reached) you just need 150 more to go for T1 (which is at 1150 points)

So with the skip of 20 you might get lvl 100 earlier but still have to work the same amount towards T1 anyway.

That's what I'm struggeling with right now.

And as the first 20 tiers should be incredibly easy to accomplish, as they need less xp than the last 15, it's a real punishment to have baught the wrong premium.

I won't make this mistake again.

edit: unless of course the 'tier-skipping' premium has an extra weapon charm or so 😉

@SharpGoblin pretty sure it won't be different than this season, and this season they were the same upgrades except the 20 skips. 

Do you also want to get the T1 badge for the seasons?

@SharpGoblin so if you want to get the T1 badge anyway i would for sure go for the cheaper Premium that doesn't skip 20 Tiers as they don't help for the T1 as we just said, and you will pass the BP lvl 100 on your way to the T1 badge anyway.

So based on your advice I went ahead and bought the Premium Battlepass for 1000 Coins.

I was at level 92 and it worked out that I got awarded 12 x100 Battlefield Coins and 7x 100% XP Boosters plus other bits and pieces.

So it was worthwhile buying it even at this late stage of the season. 👍
