Re: Damage Log Explaining

The damage graph is for people experiencing insta-deaths due to bundled bullet damage.

Video recording the insta-death with the graph up will allow slow motion playback of the video to troubleshoot the issue.

    I dying many time instantly like in one frame or first bullet or couple meters behind cover (I'm on 1Gbit/s fiber)

    Too like situations when I just peek in half second for spot someone then hide and I received damage like crazy or die instantly from any gun.

    In many situations is impossible react to enemy fire so I have on this only two solutions.

    1) Throwing grenades as much I can. Simple spam.

    2) using VPN for get higher ping and then "replying" on enemy fire is possible (if you don't get headshot)

    On the issue of damage logs, I replied on a couple of other threads that the log makes no sense. I put together a short vid of clips taken of the log. Here's the breakdown:

    1. (0 to 12 secs) First Death, against bots (notice the insanely low ALAT). I took this as a "baseline". Kill log adds up to 99.78

    2. (12 to 18 seconds) Second death. LAT = 37 ALAT = 78. Kill log adds up to 99.79

    3. (19 to 26 seconds) Third death. LAT = 36 ALAT = 80. Kill log adds up to 88.03. Notice I was hit for 3.91, then healed to 100 before taking the next damage.

    4. (26 to 33 seconds) Fourth death. LAT = 36 ALAT = 82. Kill log adds up to 83.88

    5. (33 to 40 seconds) Fifth death. LAT = 38 ALAT = 131. Kill log adds up to 86.94. Notice that CountryBoy get the last damage in the log, but Firestorm get credit for the kill.

    6. (40 to 49 seconds) Sixth death. LAT = 34 ALAT = 130. Kill log adds up to 77.96.

    7. (49 to 56 seconds) Seventh death. LAT = 36 ALAT = 78. Kill log adds up to 100. HOWEVER, notice I'm wearing a plate before I get damaged. Shouldn't it take 120 to kill me?

    8. (56 to 65 seconds) Eight death. LAT = 40 ALAT = 80. Kill log adds up to 64.02. I'm wearing a plate, so 120 again and it doesn't add up to 100 to begin with.

    9. (65 to end) Ninth death. LAT = 36 ALAT = ~200 (it was in flux at the moment. Kill log adds up to 99.89, but I'm wearing a plate. Should be 120 no?

    Can someone explain this a bit better? Are we missing info or frames from the server?

    @Echo6Echo Good call on the missing info or frames from the server.

    It appears the server isn't sending all the damage events to the client. Meaning if someone shoots you with 5 bullets, you'll only feel 3 or 4 bullets hit before you die.


    It's appears the server is killing you before it finishes sending all the bullet damage events to you.

    I'm also disturbed by the fact that a plate seems to make ZERO difference. Why even have it in the game?

    This still describes half my deaths. I’ve fallen dead before the sound of the shooting is heard, and this game is over a year old. How is this still broken!?
