My team and I (4-5 people) that played battlefield for over 10 years together several times a week stopped playing this game due to bugs, bad balance and general chaos.

We gave it another shot recently and slowly found ourselves back into liking the game a little when we all played Lis, for the reason that we had a small chance against helicopters and vehicles in general, while it still was a struggle to hit anything.

Yesterday, we tried the update. Now, you can barely make a turn with the rocket so it is quite impossible to hit a skilled helicopter.
4 Liz = 8 rockets with the first reload. We couldn't kill any helicopter. We used to die about 10-20 times to kill one chopper, now we can't kill it and just continue to die.
(We even tried combinations of 1 hacker, 3 stingers, still not possible)

This is of course another issue of balance that the helicopters are way to powerful and don't have anything that takes them down.
(As other people simply don't play the game that way, even 4 people with stingers can't take 1 helicopter where we die about 20 times before changing flag where the helicopter isn't)

This might yet again pull the sprint and blow us from finding our way back into the game. Every session is a situation where we have to say positive things toward one and another to now turn of the game. You are slowly finding your way back to create a good game, even if it it might have been the biggest failure regarding the launch of modern gaming history. You have a legacy of the best FPS in the world, it is your responsibility to not throw it away due to any reason. (Money and pushy launch...)

    Did any of you try using the Anti-Air tank?

    It's strange that I see people complain about balance but they never use the tools at their disposal. The Anti-Air tank has far longer lock on ranges than stingers, so if one of your squad members forced the enemy heli to use their flares, the AA Tank can easily take them down.

    Here's a video of me destroying two Helis as Lis in Season 4, the first Heli was a skilled pilot as well.

    How many of those are available?  If someone else has it and is incompetent should we be defenseless against helos?

    Incompetent?

    My dude that's Battlefield. Not everyone is a Level 100 Colonel.

    The alternative is making Helis completely garbage. Why would you do that.

    31/63 players should not have to depend on one player to prevent getting farmed by a pilot.  there needs to be more than just "use the aa tank" to counter air

    @S3SSioN_SoLWildcat (aka AA tank) is decent at blocking a high-skilled pilot and effective at killing average and below. High skill pilots will know how to position attack and/or avoid the Wildcat. This is only true if a focused player gets the Wildcat spawn and has the right loadout. Providing it doesn't go to someone that uses it to try and farm infantry, treats it as vehicle transport. High-skill pilots will often get many passes in before they can either get overwhelmed (unlikely now with lack of AA missle and lis nerf) or they eventually make a mistake and succumb to the pressure.

    I think the really bad pilots are less likely to grab the Aircraft spawn vs. really bad tankers grabbing the Wildcat. Because, a bad pilot knows they will probably just crash or be killed immediately. Whereas a bad tanker can at least survive for awhile camping with the tank. So we have more competition for high-skill Wildcat players to actually get ahold of it.

    Your team has almost identical vehicles to their team? Get a in a helicopter or jet or maybe work as a team to take them down? Still can’t beat him? Then you deserve it.

    obviously you haven't played breakthrough.  also:

    so you are saying only vehicles should be able to harm vehicles.  deal as long as vehicles can't harm infantry.

    @Psubond  I 'm failing to grasp your point. This is how Battlefield has always been. And in my opinion there's nothing wrong with that. How else are noobs going to learn. The best way to deal with air vehicles is the anti-air tank. Furthermore, many vehicles have the anti-air weapon module. That thing shreds air vehicles.

    @EA_Leeuw I can say from personal experience this change with release 4 has made Liz's rocket pretty much worthless. (One of the only things she's was really good for.) The dev team needs to think about dialing back this change from the release notes -> "Tightened the turning angles of Lis' G-84 TGM". Whoever tested that either was not on PC, or has some settings I don't have.
