@ElliotLHTypically I would agree, because 99% of the time the bans are perfectly fine and it's usually a underage child worried about getting his moms money back.
But the worrying thing is I notice a lot of these players seem to be old guard players and quite mature adults. For the most part I do not see anyone saying irrational things like children here.
This game is also out about 1 month now and for a FALSE bans topic to be 70 pages long? Usually when a company CHAMPIONS for the community and removes dirty cheats like us they make a big noise about it for PR. Yet everything is silent.
This is a legitimate issue, I would not go on and on if I felt in any way guilty. If I had a reason to lose $70 I would just have moved on by now.
But this is more of just complete injustice at this point.
Even if they gave me a fake reason like yes we think you used aim bot least I could laugh about it and carry on, but they refuse to say why they remove access I'm just supposed to know? Is EA my wife? lol
Yep, same here. I'm kinda "old", I've been playing Battlefield for almost 17 years, and I've had my account for 13 (!!) years. And still, I was banned for no apparent reason (link to my post below).

Last night I got banned, during the time I wasn't even playing BF2042. Needless to say, I certainly was *NOT* cheating. For christ sake, I only played the game for like 12 hours or so. I got it like 3 days ago.
Furthermore I didn't use any exploits (not that I'm aware of), I wasn't playing on bot farming servers, heck, I barely even played Portal as I just wanted to try the 128-player modes first. I don't have Razer whatever keyboard or mouse with macros, I'm using just a regular old "feature-less" mouse and keyboard. I got the game through Steam, but besides that I barely had anything else running in the background. Certainly no "fishy" 3rd party apps.
I even told support that if I decided to cheat anyway, why would I do it on my proper account that's over a decade old, with tons of games in it?!?! Yet, the automated message was "we determined that we took the correct action". End of story. Goodbye.
Screw EA. I'm done.

@ElliotLH We aren't looking for in-depth info HERE, we are just looking to be able to obtain the in-depth info regarding our individual bans via email or in our account info, whatever. I think many of us are just hoping that this massive thread is presented to someone who can take a look once and for all at what the heck is going on here, we all understand that in-depth info can't be provided in this thread due to privacy issues, we just want justice for our accounts. I know i'm not a cheater, and even if only half the ppl here are truthful, I think myself and others deserve a little attention to get this solved today. I have noticed that some people are claiming they just disputed their ban a day ago and got a response within 24 hours, myself and others are still waiting days/weeks for a response to the dispute. Something strange is going on, because we are all told our cases are handled in order and the amount of time it will take depends on how many cases..

I have been also banned shortly after I started playing BF2042. In fact, you can probably find my post somewhere at the beginning of this thread.
To cut the long story short, one morning I woke up to find an email from EA stating that my account has been compromised and that I have to change my password. Shortly after another email informed me about my "hacking" and that my account has been perm banned. I purchased the ultimate edition of the game for £100 which basically went down the drain thanks to the flawed anti-cheat system EA is using.
Show me a cheater who is buying the most expensive version of the game knowing full well that he can be banned for cheating?!?! I mean seriously? If I was intent on cheating in-game I would get myself a basic version of the game and grind everything within a week or two, what would be the point of spending £70 extra for an ultimate edition ffs?!! The worst thing is that I pre-order the freaking game to support the developers not knowing what will be the state of the game when it will be finally released only to get a perm ban probably after spending less than 20 hours playing it.
I tried to appeal but had no luck, at first I was really pissed off as I didn't cheat but now that some time passed and anger is no longer there, I decided to simply boycott any EA games. I won't be spending another penny on a sub-standard product and with a possibility of a false positive ban and no right to appeal or the possibility of a discussion with a real person to overturn the ban.
I suggest to all ppl here who are genuinely victims of this flawed anti-cheat software to do exactly the same, let's hit EA where it hurts which is in their pockets!!!!!
@dabbitydabdab I get that and, for the record, I am honestly sympathetic to your plight. What I'm trying to touch on is that unless the policy for the ToS team changes, it just won't be information they'll give out. Moreover the CMs cannot always discuss certain problems, for a variety of reasons, so while they're aware of the situation, I don't know if they'd be able to comment on it at the moment.
Discussing what has happened in this topic is good, it keeps the situation under the spotlight, and if it comes to light that a mistake has been made due to the topic then that can only be a good thing too.
@ElliotLH I appreciate your sympathy, I really do. The only reason anyone wants to know why they are banned is because the ToS team is clearly having some issues, so if we were given this valuable information, we might be able to help get to the bottom of this and prove our innocence. That being said, I don't think any of us actually care about the specific reason, because it doesn't matter, we were falsely banned! We aren't looking for anyone to discuss problems that can't be discussed, we aren't asking for info that can't be provided. We are providing you guys with all the info we can in order for someone to fix this problem. Like I said before, I think the main purpose of this massive thread is to get the word out and get this issue seen by the right person that can escalate it and help solve it in a timely fashion, hopefully that person is you!
Same ban here, I'm 57 yrs old, Ive been playing BF since good old BF2 days, have played all BF releases and loved them all, never once have I been accused of cheating, no bad marks on my account. Ive been playing 2042 since beta release, I haven't come 1st in any of the specialist categories during a round, I dont think Ive scored more that 14 kills in a round, in fact I cant think of anything Ive done thats outstanding in the game, I just grind away as Angel with my LMG and C5, I havnt even joined any of the host servers that made levelling up really easy as I like to think that what I have achieved is all my own efforts. Got a response from EA stating that they have investigated my account and confirm I was cheating, they dont say what I have done or used to cheat so how can I defend myself or disprove their claim. Something isnt right about all of this. Does anyone know what can be done to get accounts reinstated?
Yup, got an email today saying I cheated. I'm a 32 year old father of 2 small kids. I don't play much, and when I play I certainly don't cheat. I was falsely banned in BF3 by Evenbalance a few years ago aswell. I fly helis mostly and when I can't get a heli I mainly snipe people from a distance. I'm not what you would call a good player either, but I can hold my own in helis I guess. Real shame, BF2042 was the only game I was playing these days.
I tried to email them, but I haven't gotten a response yet, and I don't believe they will unban me. Just gonna cut my losses and uninstall origin for good.

I genuinely enjoyed the game, even on my older PC I managed to get 70-100fps @1440p stable so for the most part the game was really enjoyable.

I made a post on Reddit if anyone wants to join the conversation on there and help keep this topic relevant until we get unbanned. I could only find a few posts on Reddit about this issue, and the most recent one was created over two weeks ago.
@xSniper1982 Yeah I realize that this is a tough subject because everyone hates cheaters, so your initial reaction is to just write it off, but I am trying to be rational and actually answer the trolls questions and address their concerns instead of just telling them to go back under the bridge they came from. The funny thing is that not one of the trolls will reply after I respond to them with something that proves their theory wrong, and I am concerned because I have gotten at least 3 notifications on my phone from reddit saying there is a comment on my post, but when i go to look it is gone, and it is always something positive that actually adds to the conversation instead of a troll. I don't know if a mod is keeping an eye on the post or something, lots of strange things happening.

Reddit is a * place to post this, they don't care over there. Everyone who will post they got banned wrongfully will get downvoted by everyone making it so that you are a real cheater. On reddit they don't believe in false positive bans.. They never heard of it i bet.

I am about to just give up, I am just sad because I really love battlefield and I obviously never saw this coming, i know i could just buy the game again on another account but that's just wrong, I had 200+ hours already in 2042 and I just have no motivation to start over unlocking stuff. I know it seems hopeless but I hope someone helps me with my account. Never again will I go to reddit for anything

Off course, don't get me wrong, I love the battlefield series too, but it went downhill after BF4 tbh. Most of us here are in the same boat as you. I'd love to see that ban gone from my account but i have given up hope on this since EA is to stubborn to see something is really wrong. so i gave up and I'm done with all of this. I can use my energy for something else, like playing another game instead of something from EA 😉

@Norby123Yeah man it was brutal over there! I tried to be rational with them but holy moly they are relentless with their kindergarten tier hate spam! I ended up just sending them all a link to a site that provides free reading comprehension worksheets before blocking them all. What a bunch of scum. This topic really seems to bring out some angry little dudes! That being said, I am done, I have shed all the light on this topic that I possibly can, there's nothing I can do to help myself or anybody else. If EA doesn't make this right in the next 24 hours, I think I will be contacting my bank. No game is worth this hassle and being talked down to by a bunch of * clowns!

By the way: I'm in the same situation as most of you... Banned without any explanation and having some big question marks above my head... I'm 51 years old, playing video games since Pong back in 1976. Never cheated in any kind of online MP-Game. Maybe I have used a walk-through from time to time back in the days while playing adventure games like Zork or King's Quest when stuck.
I'm also fighting cheating and cheaters for a long time now. During BF5 I was even recording REAL cheaters in spectator mode to bring them to EAs attention.
EAs ToS Team is banning on BF2042 for all kind of reasons. The day you've received you suspension by eMail isn't the day you were flagged. I don't think that most of the bans in this thread are caused by EAC for detecting something. As far as I see the most of us got banned around the same time. 3rd december around 17:45 in Europe. So it must have been a ban wave and not an insta-ban caused by EAC.
Only reason in my case I could think of is playing solo/coop games vs. bots. As I was permanently hunted by the "no persistant game data" error during my first days in 2042 which didn't allowed me to connect to any live-game I've played a lot of games vs. the bots. Not in Portal, just in regulary CooP/Solo. I've killed a lot of bots for getting familiar with all kind of weapons, learning to fly helicopters and also unlocking weapon attachments.
I've played very regular vs beginner andd medium-bots. I've not extensively used dead spots where bots barely couldn't hit you. I've seen a Jack Frags video about the Kaleidoscope hightower in Breakthrough where you could hide at this time behind the pipe and shoot a massive amount of bots without being hit by them most of the time.
I confess: I've tried this spot in 1 or 2 games for a SHORT time. I was bored and thought it might be funny. While I was there I might have unlocked two or three attachments. Might be. Can't really remember as I wasn't there for a long period of time. The time I've received my ban I wasn't playing Coop/Solo for at least 6 or 7 days as the connection problems were resolved and I was able to play in regular matches. The last game before I got banned I was working on the "Eagle Eye" assignment (Spot 200 enemies in one match). I've played breakthrough at "Discarded" on the defending side and climbed the yellow crane at A1. From there I've spotted more than 250 enemies with the SOFLAM before getting killed.
As I know for sure that I don't have any cheats on my system and that I've not used any XP-Farm-Servers I assume that the reason for my ban must be the 1 or 2 short stops on Kaleidoscope (boosting ?) behind the pipes or something that was triggered while spotting from the crane during the regular match.
I also have a lot of Programs running on my PC in the background: Logitech G Hub for G910 keyboard and G502 Mouse, Logitech Gaming Software for an older G13 device (not connected while playing BF and not supported by GHub), Aquasuite (Monitoring Software for my Watercooling and RGB), HWinfo64, MSI Afterburner and MSI Dragon Center, SB EvO Software for my Headset and SB Connect for my Soundbar, Discord (no overlays), iCloud client, GF Experience. Nvidia Broadcast and OBS while streaming.
My Point is:
Have I cheated ?
No I haven't as I'm not having any kind of cheat on my computer and I'm strictly fighting REAL cheaters using bots, aimbots and esp in all kind of MP-Games for years now.
Do I have any kind of software installed which could falsly trigger EAC ?
I don't really know... Maybe... But I doubt it as I'm using the same configuration on other EAC protected games like Div 2, WT, GR Wildlands and others. Never were banned by EAC therefore.
Do I have boosted ?
If using this spot on Caleidoscope for all in all 5-8 minutes is considered boosting or farming, then I'm guilty.
BUT:
Does this kind of short-time boosting deserves a Permanent ban if it was the reason ? No EA-Service was interrupted, no gaming experience of any other player was disturbed. And most of the time I've used helicopters and jets to get familiar with them. You can't hide behind the pipes with a helicopter.
REAL Cheaters with aimbots, ESPs and other hacks deserving a permanent ban, I think we all agree on that. But they can still play as nearly all those cheats are still undetected and "safe" while others which intentionally or unintentionally "boosted" without impacting the gameplay of other real life players get a Permaban.
If someone has used this spot or farmed XP in Portal, using mechanics Dice has implemented into this buggy mess of a game, he might maybe deserve a ban in EAs eyes, but not a permanent one in my opinion. If this really (we're talking about 5-10 minutes in my case) is a Permaban-offense, then I wonder what would have happened to players driving with hovercrafts up the hightowers by knowingly exploiting bugs during a life game vs. other real players.
I'm not willing to accept this ban without being given a proper reason. Standard Robot-Mails stating you've done "This OR This OR This" are not acceptable. They can give me a real reason without going into details "You've used a cheat", "You've boosted", "You've insulted other players" or whatever. This will not give me details which can be used to program cheats. But it'll give me a reasons to defend and fight the ban.
As I'm living in Germany and EA has an official branch office over here they've to stick to European laws/regulations. As they're not willing to give me details about all from me collected data (and my so called violation of the ToS is based on collected data) I've now contacted our Consumer-Rights-Organisations and offices in charge. I also have send an official request by letter to the EA Office in Germany asking them to provide ALL this data as it's my european right to see it. Let's see what they're comming around the corner with.
Edit: I'm curious as I just had an idea... As I never had before any issue with EAC and if it was the case that it was an automated EAC-ban I'm wondering if EAC might have an issue with its detection on PCs running on Windows 11 which I've installed a few days before the ban. May I ask which OS all others who got maybe falsly banned are running on their PCs ?
@ElliotLH Yeah I understand that, but I'm not really a patient person, and I don't want to wait any longer for a response from ToS on my dispute, or waste any more of my time on this topic. I guess it comes down to being a matter of principle at this point, I hope you can understand that. If there is a widespread problem with false bans, I don't think it is being handled very well by EA, and it has really turned me off from the company as a whole. There is no way to communicate with this ToS "team", everyone else in this thread seems to just receive an automated dispute denial response with no indication that an investigation into their case ever even took place, and no clarification of the reason behind the ban. So that's what I'm expecting to receive anyways. In all honesty this is complete BS and I wish that someone was reaching out to me with more information, asking me for more information, idk, anything would be nice really. I guess I'm glad this happened early on rather than after 2000 hours of gameplay. Just very disappointed in how this situation has been handled, as I'm sure everyone else involved is. Doesn't make sense I filed my dispute 12/18 and still haven't heard anything, yet many here claim to have filed after me and received their denial already. Zero communication just doesn't work for me in 2021
