Who exactly is Tom Henderson? His profile on Twitter only seems to mention things like being an editor... does he also work for EA or something?
@stealthME00 this guy @RatedChaotic has repeated this same irrelevant information over and over and over again. Just report him for spam and ignore him. Just to disprove his irrelevant speculations yet again, I will quote the email we have all received from EA.
We define cheating as:
• using specialized software to gain an unfair advantage, such as “aimbots” or “triggerbots.”
• using software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• using unsupported mods, unauthorized hardware or accessories.
• intentionally “boosting” or “teamkilling.”
• using exploits to gain in-game items.
You have to be actually 'USING' any of the things listed. It doesn't say anything about simply owning or having access to these things. You have to actually use them in the game for it to be considered cheating. That's EA's words, not mine. Also just for fun, I am still waiting for you to give an example of how someone could use macros in BF2042 to cheat or have an advantage. I thought you would've come up with something by now since this is so important to you for some reason even though you're not banned and this doesn't concern you, you have no information I don't see how you could possibly think you're adding anything to this specific thread. The fact is that there is no explanation of what 'unauthorized hardware' even is, and EA isn't telling anyone if they are banned specifically for using unauthorized hardware that has the capability to create macros. Just give it up, move on to your next irrelevant obsession that doesn't pertain to you in any way!
@stealthME00 I have never used a macro in my life, I dont have 20+ years of windows programming experience. I was simply wondering how someone could use a macro in BF2042 to have an advantage, I thought I made that pretty clear. I have actually asked multiple people and you're the first person to have an answer, using a script to negate recoil effect. As I've stated before, it doesn't actually matter, I was truly just curious, not sure what you are confused about. That guy has repeated countless times that we are all banned for owning devices that allow creation of macros, as someone that's never used a macro, I was curious if he could give an example.
To answer your question, no, I don't have Logitech mouse. I just said in the last 2 replies in this thread that my Kb&m don't even have software at all, nevermind having the ability to create a macro or anything like that.

@thegoodcharleslike i said in a previous post, all of this is just guesstimate/theories. EA is not helpful. So there is no certainty that's how their anticheat is working. I have not tried to explore what anticheat they are using and I ain't going to waste my time on it. I sent the other guy a link to youtube video which provides complete lua script which can be used in Logitech Hub to negate recoill. That was just one example. There may be so many more. My personal assessment is "hardware experience softwares" e.g. the Logitech Hub or Logitech Gaming software and similar softwares are likely contributing to the problem if they are not the only problem. I am also basing on the Question Tom Henderson asked me on twitter.
I have no hope bans will be lifted. I think the game had such a * launch that they are likely spending all resources to fix the bad press and making the game experience better. This issue has to bubble up through some loud media personalities to even get any attention from EA let alone get a fix.
What's the average time on getting some kind of response from an appeal? Heard so many say within a day and mine is going on 1 1/2 days now.

Edit: And I also tried Live Support and was basically told the same thing. USELESS!
I've never seen it mentioned but all these false-positive bans are treated as the extreme of the extreme sort of cheats right? Hence the permanent bans.
Shouldn't a ban with this sort of vague reasons be timed? With a warning at least?
Also EVERYONE, I've created a petition on Change.org, I know some of you might think it will achieve nothing but I see no harm in trying. Please let me know if you want anything to be changed in the explanation of the petition, sentences, choice of words, anything. Please sign it if you can and let's keep this going. Perhaps we will be noticed by EA?

I signed up to the petition, prob wont do any good but feel so badly treated I have to do something. I also thought it might be an idea to see if we could find a common denominator in our systems to see if we can find what it is that called us out as cheats that EA wont tell us about. Unfortunately Im not good with web stuff or how to set up a page here that would show results but if anyones willing to take it on...
See, for me the problem now is that I have been banned so cant use my EA Pro game pass to continue playing, in effect Im not out of pocket just not able to play that particular game, so Im willing to shelve out £32 on Steam to buy the game so I can continue to play with my son, its the only game we enjoy playing together and gives us a few hours a day to chat whilst we play. Problem being that Im gonna get banned again if I buy it because I dont know what it is Ive done to get banned and therefore cant avoid doing it again.

@Locutos28CDMIt's sad to see that it's easier to just trust in Easy Anti Cheat %100 and negate literally any possibility of the victim being innocent. Absolute trust in EAC is hurting the dwindling honest paying customer community.

I got my dispute denial email. Same copy and pasted vague information as everyone else has received, with no detail of the accusation whatsoever. They tell you to review section 6 of the ToS, guess what there are like 50 bullet points and I didn't violate any of them.
I think at the very least what we have discovered here is that these people working on the ToS "team" have to be some miserable little people! Imagine having such an easy job yet you are still unable to do it effectively!
This is clearly an error in the system that isn't being taken seriously, that's all there is to it. There are at the very least hundreds of people affected by this just from what I have seen, it's probably thousands. Out of all of the posts/threads/replies I have read, I have seen absolutely zero proof that anyone is actually cheating in any way, in fact all I have seen is the opposite. And for everyone continuing to speculate what it could possibly be, I guarantee you there is nothing to speculate. It is simply an error and there is no amount of speculation that can help change or solve that problem. If there was an obvious common denominator severe enough to cause permanent bans, I think we would've figured it out by now!
If anything, the only common denominator is that nobody has any idea wut dafuq is goin on
@dabbitydabdabSeriously though, I've never seen such uproar about false-positive bans in such a long time if ever.. There are many games out there that has some sort of an anti-cheat system. You don't get to see this sort of engagement and backlash everyday.. Even with this logic alone, the possibility of an error is just too big to look the other way..
Despite the subreddit bashing on the game, I personally miss playing. Been 5 days now.
Edit: Is it logical to create another ticket about our false-positive bans after they reply? After they say they are closing the case? Just thinking
Also, here's an interesting comment by Alexadre L. (might be lurking on this forum), talking about trolls who aren't able to understand that EAC is just an API that has to be integrated by the same devs who made the mess that is 2042, it is even written in the EAC SDK doc that if you do a sh*tty integration of EAC you will have sh*tty results, and imagine making an anti-cheat integration work when the dev is split between 6 studios..
At this point we can just say that the anti-cheat protection is terrible for the same reason the whole game is. Improper or half-done implementation.
