- xM0T10NMANx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@e6fc1f1d63b501d4 Refund as in charge-back?
- aussie284 years agoSeasoned Rookie
yup
- xM0T10NMANx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@e6fc1f1d63b501d4 I'm waiting to see (though not holding my breath) if any of the 2 Corporate Execs for EA I left messages with... will call me back. For sure going to do the same charge-back come Friday when I get up if I don't hear anything more... as you may as well literally be talking to a wall to expect anything other than bot replies via their useless ToS.
How long was the process? I've never had to do one before so wondering what it involves. - aussie284 years agoSeasoned Rookie
my ban was for improperly use in-game support or complaint buttons make false reports to EA staff, which i have no idea what that even means, so iam done with battlefield games seems u can be banne for anything, so iam done with battlefield plus the game isnt great cod is better least cods trying to be cod , battlefield is trying to be cod now so yeah iam done, good luck to urs tho

Making false reports of someone cheating should get you banned if it happens frequently imo.
Obviously not if you do it once or twice as it is possible to make a mistake and think someone who is just good is cheating. If someone is abusing the report feature and gets banned themself for it, then that just seems like karma to me.- aussie284 years agoSeasoned Rookie
i reported someone for harrasment....calling me names on chat. i hardley think thats wrong, i reported someone for cheating twice. because it was a shot from other side of the map. so hardly think thats worht a bann
- aussie284 years agoSeasoned Rookie
i also gave ea screenshots of these reports on the ea website

once again, ea are bad at banning people, thosuands of people are getting banned for anything now days, its like ea dont want people to play their games...they just want peoples money...sad thing, however ea forget about chargebacks from banks. they have lost me as a customer. iam off to play decent game for free COD

Yeah if that is true then a ban does seem like a pretty big overreaction from EA

Now we should not exaggerate, you are a little over 100 at the moment.
And think about this, if Tom Henderson is presented with data from your bans and comes to the same conclusion as EA, what do you do then? - aussie284 years agoSeasoned Rookie
for now i do not care one bit any more i got my money back, so the case closed for me no more comments, cant wait for tom hendersons findings to be published.
- xM0T10NMANx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@SpoolaZ Really depends on what and if he even bothers following through or not. I know for fact I did 2 things... neither in my opinion would warrant a perm ban... I farmed some bots and I used AutoHotKey to rebind my left and right arrow keys.
Now if EA banned me for using a bot... well... good on them for banning me when I never did. But see this is where the problem is with EA's practices and why they clearly DESERVE the horrible ratings as a company... because they hide behind this cloak of "no transparency".
Look at most of their bad reviews on like The Better Business Bureau, Google etc... they have an outright horrible rating and good portion of those are from people claiming they were banned without cause and left dangling in the wind because EA won't listen to anyone on the matter.
Which in my mind is appalling and it's no wonder the company is suffering money problems, developers exiting as fast as they can and games like 2042 have a 77% negative score. And it's all well deserved.
I for one will never come back.... aside from 2 conditions: 1. I get my game back with no loss of progress and 2. An apology.
But I won't expect either... because the company we all once knew from 16 yrs ago doesn't exist. It's all about greed and the hell with the customer. - TheGoodCharles4 years agoRising Adventurer@e6fc1f1d63b501d4 How did you get your money back? via bank or Steam?

Keep wishing one of my EU Ban Buddies would get some juicy info from a GDPR. Get-R-Done! LoL
I emailed with that template yesterday. No reply yet.
- xM0T10NMANx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@MrDraken Crossing my fingers. I'm dying to see if you or anyone else can get your hands on actual info that can point to at least what the specific ban was.
- @-NME-M0710NM4N I got a response from EA support. From the bot))). they buried their heads in the sand like an ostrich. they cannot do anything. this game will die completely at the beginning of the year. we should just forget about it. it's a shot in the leg. EA are losing money, losing developers, customers. Battlefield is another loss. R.I.P.
- xM0T10NMANx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@errorer1 It's a mess of epic proportions.
What happened to the days where you could defend yourself when accused? What happened to the days you could correspond back and forth with the ban dept and maybe attempt to get a reprieve or 2nd chance?
Boggles my mind that you can just lose hundreds of hours and $60 - $120 in the blink of an eye for something you either didn't do... or maybe at the very least may have earned yourself a temp ban.
But it honestly comes off like their just a bunch of thieves. They randomly ban totally innocent people and they pray those people will buy another copy so they can make up for the epic losses they got with developing this 77% negative reviewed pile of rubbish.
And how much of a nitwit does someone have to be, to think that a person would risk cheating on their main account... risk losing $1000's worth of games and 1000's of hours played, when most cheaters are smart enough to do it on a secondary account?
And does it not seem a little strange that (like many others I'm sure) that I have almost every BF within my Origin and have no other bans on that account (aside from this BS one) in all these years. I have a Steam account with dozens of games... and no VAC bans on record over 11 yrs! But I decided to fire up 2042 on my main account and cheat?
The FKN wow factor is off the charts that this can happen. And who the FK listens? Nobody.
I'll stop ranting for now... my blood pressure is through the roof and I have to call my bank in 20 minutes to do the charge-back. - @-NME-M0710NM4N This is epic fail. I've played every Battlefield game since Bad Company 2. Never used cheats, never supported EA. And now we are all gradually becoming cheaters and scammers))). I donate my money to EA. I advise you not to return your money yet. Let's forget for a while, celebrate the new year, and then we'll see how the ostrich will pull its head out of the sand))).
- @MrDraken They must answer you within a month. That's the law.
- @e6fc1f1d63b501d4 How did you know what your ban was for ? Have they stated that in an email to you ? Can you share a screenshot of this eMail with us (blackened out personal details ofc).
- @-NME-M0710NM4N I've got 17 years+ on my Steam account, never ever been banned or cheated. Have 3.4 hours in total on BF2042 according to Steam but it was probably around 1h and I left the game idling for the other 2.4h.
Pre-ordered early and paid around €90. Playtested the beta and then immediately sold off all my EA stock that I bought during the summer. Very glad I sold as it plummeted quickly after BF launch.
This game should never been released in this state. I really wanted a good solid AAA BR replacement to give up on Warzone with the non-existent anticheat and corrupt streamerworld/whitelistings that Activison upholds.
But I guess I have to wait. Guess we all might have to go back/over to console if this EA parody continues... - @indi81 I also left the game idling several times, but the server did not kick me out of the game for inactivity. A strange game.
- xM0T10NMANx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@indi81 Never been a console player. I'm just gonna go back to CoD. Gonna keep grinding in Cold War and hope next yrs release of Modern Warfare is better than Vanguard.
Gonna hang out here with some popcorn and hope something comes back on any of the EU players with the GDPR. Also still hoping Tom Henderson will write an article about this mess and shine a spotlight on it. - @-NME-M0710NM4N And I'll take popcorn.👍
