In BF4 even the lowest damage output automatic primary weapon (U-100 Mk5 as far as I'm aware) will kill you in just a hair over half a second if the shooter is accurate. Less with headshots. A FAMAS will kill you in 300ms with only body shots; 120ms with 2 headshots (faster than the typical human reaction time).
Using the "TTK is too long in normal" argument is not doing much to dispel the stereotype that hardcore players can't aim...
And even still for the extreme HC that is not enough. We have some extreme HC servers running on PlayStation with the soldier health at 40% and the bullet damage modifier set at 300%.
Its so extreme so even just by looking for a bit too long at a thrown flare and you are dead! 😂
