I love this game. Here's some overview and positive feedback for a change.

I love this game. I really do. Sure there's bugs here and there, but for me nothing game breaking. But after 83 hours of fun there's some positive criticism that i think it would help the game to grow better. Not going into "nerf this/buff that/fix this", here's an overview of the game so far:

- Operators are fun and bring variety to the game. It's just a matter of getting used to them. Engineers should be able to lock on to vehicles faster as their passive, as falck can revive faster too.

- Right now the game doesn't offer much variety when it comes to 2042 modes without vehicles. Conquest and breakthrough. When i have friends that bought the game to play with me that's their number one issue. They die too many times to vehicles over and over again. Rush 2042 was the best entry point to the game in my opinion.

- Free for all feels like a rushed under developed mode without much thought put into it. Really unbalanced and the maps are not cut to hold those kinda matches. Portal maps are way more suited for this matter. Bad company 2 squad deathmatch and bf3 close quarters dlc maps would be a nice addition.

- Portal mode is a novelty mode. It's fun for one match or two, but if I wanted to play those old games I would just launch those old games. It's like listening to a CD that you really loved when you were a kid. You can go back to it and still enjoy it but not as much as before. Why not implement those old maps and modes into 2042 too?

- Please focus on rush and conquest. BF is all about rush in my opinion, its a unique mode that you can't find in any other shooter. I don't fancy battle royals flavor of the month, or tarkov clones. Please put more love into rush and conquest.

Anyone else feel the same? Please keep the bitching and nagging to yourself, i'm 42 y.o. i don't need angry joe's reviews to teach me how to think. Be mature, positive criticism only please.

@UP_KillScreen I agree and I have fun with the gane as well. I like reading post such as yours as it's a breath of fresh air around here.

@UP_KillScreen i enjoy aspects of the game but it needs some serious working imo.
-map design has to be reworked for the most part or DICE needs to increase the amount of cars,QUADS, motorbikes to get more poeple around faster
-choppers need to be redesigned as well because its getting very boring beign served on a silver paltter to them round after round after round
-weapon balance is a joke atm, its all just PBK,K30,MP9... high RPM weapons need to loose their insane ammo-count
-general performance improvements and stability stuff...
if DICE can get on top of these things for me at least the game will be much better

- You have operators with high mobility and spawn beacons. Mobility needs to be restricted, as for the defending team it would be unfair for people to just rush them from all sides without any thought given. But yes, some of the maps feel really empty.

- Choppers are fine as they are right now. I would only increase the respawn timer from 1 minute to 5. It feels like when you take one down they immediately come back.

- Those weapons are the not worst of them all. PBK and K30 are fine as they are IMO, between them and for example an M5 is a coin toss. AC-42 with single fire is the most broken of them all right now and needs a nerf. And VCAR needs a buff too.

- I don't have performance issues. On a ryzen 5600 + RTX 2070 super the game runs smoothly even when i stream.

@UP_KillScreen I agree, they should just add Portal maps to AoW (at least BC2 and BF3 maps), it would be much better. Unfortunately there are lots of gamebreaking bugs, like no ADS when leaving a vehicle, or can’t switch weapon. You can’t revive people when they are barely touching a small piece of rock (and this was even patched, lol). I died many times, because I run to a guy to revive him, I was spamming E button and nothing happened, and I just got killed (I’m playing Falck, so revive is almost instant for me). Vehicle splash damage still makes infantry stuck in a place, it has a rubberbanding “effect”. You’re basically a stationary target for helis and Boltes. Oh, and mouse input is horrible. As Enders said: PC players didn’t even have a chance to play the game. :D Performance is horrible also! I can run BF1 on 1080p ultra with 100-120 average fps, BF5 80-100 average fps on 1080p high (I play the game with high textures, high post processing for nice reflections and ultra mesh quality, everything else low and it’s 100-110 average fps), while 2042 barely reaches 60 fps on full low!!! And even if it’s 60-70 fps, the game stutters like crazy and mouse movement is very jittery. It’s just unplayable. I can play the game in 900p blurry graphics on low, and the fps counter sometimes reaches 80 on 64 mode, while 128 is still stuttering. I mean there’s a reason the game is losing sooooo many players!

@UP_KillScreen i'll go trough point by point
- yeah high mobility operators are in the game but that opens a different can of worms with McKay and Sundance getting into positions oyu are at their mercy, for example on containers you can not reach unless you are the same operator. they can break the gameflow just as fast as they improve it at times.
- i agree the spawntimes should increase globally, but i doubt they will do that.. i'd just reduce the amount of rockets the Nightbird and Attack chopper have so they have to actually somewhat aim instead of just carpeting an area
- i disagree the PBK, MP9 and K30 are either way to overused then or more likely offer little drawbacks for maximum returns..
- you can consider yourself lucky then, because i have a 2080 8GB and a Ryzen 9 3,9k and struggle to reach stable 100fps. also the hit-reg in the game is laughable at times or it teleports you around... there are plenty of videos showing all the issues the game still has. now its gotten better since launch but still far from an acceptable state for 60+€

@UP_KillScreenI find the game very fun and playable. As with any new game it’s needs some work and will take some time to sort out.
Spawning needs some work. They are already camping the points. Weapons and vehicles need some fine tuning but overall the game works for me. I play conquest and love the 128 player madness!

@UP_KillScreen I have the complete opposite opinion. AOW is the novelty mode that is only fun for a couple of rounds. Portal is where the Battlefield experience is.

You didn't say it in your monologue, but I'm positive it's the truth. You're young. This is your experience with battlefield. You're not comparing it to what it should have been. You're looking at it for what it is which would be fine if that's how it was advertised but it wasn't. And for people like me who've been playing it since like well 2000. I kind of want the game we were promised. You know when they made battlefield 5 they made battlefield 1. It only made a lot of sense that you took the exact same ever perpetualizing towards greatness game model you had and just reskinned it with modern combat like we all wanted. You are well entitled to like this game for what it is. But you are massively wrong because you're just commenting on an isolated title instead of a franchise that built an expectation from its community of which it failed. You think the issue is bugs? It's not bugs. It's the wrong game. It looks like it was made by a totally different company were lied to

@TEHEN83 Ya it’s not a old refurbished game that’s for sure. I feel for you guys if that’s what they told you. Not a BF player here but I would have never expected a gaming company to do that as no money in it. Generally remastered games are done by indies etc.
