No, I've never really cared about the XP part of it, but I usually just played on our clan's servers with friends for fun not XP.

Getting rid of persistent, community run servers is a big part of what's killing the Battlefield franchise appeal.

It's just not very community orientated anymore like it was

@Nightflyer735 If DICE stopped gating weapons and attachments behind an XP system, we would. Stop blaming the players for playing the game as DICE designed it.

@Nightflyer735 EA owns DICE and published the game. The game was built by DICE as the lead studio, with Criterion and another support studio assisting, and Ripple handling Portal development.

"EA" is not a developer, it is a publisher. They own studios that develop their games and oversee development, they're not in design meetings making decisions.

Honestly 2042 has got to be the most anti social multiplayer game I've ever played. It's designed from the ground up to prevent you from interacting with other players as much as possible.

As for thread; been playing since 1942 and was playing right up until the servers for 42 and 2 were shut off.

My first BF experience was all about the social playing.

I got addicted, i got good, i joined clans, i got competitive, i met so many good friends....

    It was Battlefield...

Now it is just a cartoon shooter..

SAD just Sad what has happened.
