Re: How to play against my friend in portal

@zepkingnormally if you are not in party and he joins your game over the browser you should be in two different teams, but if you join over friend list, you will be in his squad and also for me often I wasn't able to find friends server in the server browser...
for this cases I have built an auto team balance logic

in general it just does a ping pong between each player that is joining and sets their team either to 1 or 2, orange marked is optional(debug/displaying start message stuff)

Haven't tested it since some months and it was buggy also in some cases, but worked in general

    If we create a custom ground superiority game in portal for just local LAN playing with bots, will it show up on the browser list?

    I can understand not wanting to put team switching for online matches, where people will switch to winning team, but it seems like it should be an option where a few friends who want to play against each other via local LAN with bots.

    @zepking you can't play this game lan only, it will always be connected / needs online connection, but you can password protect portal matches.
    Yeah Team Switching and Auto-Team Balance is currently missing in the game
