Re: Let us turn off depth of field

At the moment there is the only way to turn of this option is editing settings file. Here is how to do so:

  1. Go to My Documents
  2. Battlefield 2042
  3. Settings folder
  4. Open PROFSAVE_profile file via wordpad and find the following line: GstRender.WeaponDOF
  5. Change the value from 1 to 0 and Save the file.

Now this option should be disabled in the game.

    See if it still shows up with higher magnification optics, otherwise the game just hates me.

    Yeah either way it's very irritating to deal with, never seen another game go this route before.

  • Wish I could switch this off on Xbox, no settings file for xbox only PC

    How we can return to the old situation ? This blurry mess don't appear before changing the DOF settings in settings file but if i reset dof to 1, i always have the blurry mess with a scope...

    ima be honest depth of field looks freaking diskusting and distarcts and makes my eyes hurt the only simpler option to turn off DOF that kinda works is the dd holo sight

    how can i open the document with wordpad? it doesent work for me
