My short list (got more, but don't want to be to negative):
- Rework all maps (make them smaller, reposition objectives, give each sector except of the edge sectors at least 2 objectives, bring in some cover)
- Make 64 player conquest (less performance issues, less clusterfck)
- More transport vehicles (quads, jeeps without heavy weapons as in BF3/4) for eacht team and less helicopters / tanks
- Remove / Fix random bullet spread
- Rework / Fix the sound design (i have not heard a single footstep in more than 10 hours)
- Rework portal class system (right now, the classes are like specialists, but they need to be like classes from previous games)
- Rework the whole HUD, as it is totally crowded but not helpful at all
- Server-Browser and map rotation
- Scoreboard (i am really doing bad in this game and i would like to see, if it is everyone except the pilots or if it is just me)
- More weapons needed and better balance
- Edit: Indicators for nearby medics
- Edit2: Remove armor plates
- Even more, but enough for now (Bug fixing and performance issues should be obvious)

I wish we could PIN some of the topics. Everyday, there are the same new topics created which just looked chaotic and surely any of the Dice guys coming here will just click away.
Feedback needs to be constructive and professional not entitled and whiny. *sigh*

- 4 years ago@TickTack121 Yep good list. Really funny thing is issue list they made and update :D hahah! They placed there what they want and nothing really important from people feedback to do not say "we fu**ed up". We will keep it in secret maybe people will still buy it who cares. Thats EA.

They dont care just money is important.After playing one round, i could completely rage again, after i saw a mackay on really bad spot with a sniper and an ammobox. So i would say: BRING BACK CLASSES FOR * SAKE!

@TickTack121 Good list. Scoreboard should be super easy since its kinda already there, under players in the menu. They need to add kills/deaths/points, ping and make let us bind it to a key. Easy.
Reg: Specialists
I think no feedback like "Bring back old classes" will work. Its part of the Core game now and removing it would be, sorry, idiotic and unrealistic. I think it requires a different thinking:
How can we improve on them?
- First off, the game needs a ton of skin variations for them. Esp. cool headgear so we can HIDE the silly cartoon characters. 🙂
- The Russian team needs Russia like outfits. I mean have they not looked at their military outfits today? Its very different than the US. It would be easy and make them more visible.
- Give REWARDS for using the Specialists abilities. This is something i just dont get: I hack a tank. twice, almost dying in the process. A team mate takes the tank out cause it has been hacked, so i should get rewarded for that. Same applies for all of them.
- Dont make me choose between a repair tool and a rocket launcher. Some things need to get locked into a semi class like in the past.
This is off the top of my head. This wouldnt be too hard to implement IMO and id glady would pay for a massive skin pack (like $10 bucks). But more variation is needed.
- 4 years ago@Buzzfunk I think the best solution would be to allow us to customize our own U.S/Russian character [Similar to BFV] while leaving the specialists skins now as legendary skins. Using our own custom character, we are able to pick a specialist gadget without having to choose that specialists. I absolutely hate the design of some of the specialists to the point they're so annoying I don't even bother using them.

The visibility issues began in BF5 when people could customize their character's uniforms so we no longer could identify which class someone was at a glance and it slowed down friend/foe identification dramatically - and this was with faction locked cosmetics which we don't have in 2042. The addition of the ping system was a secondary cause of the visibility issues in BF5. I'd really love for them to bring back classes but I seriously doubt DICE will budge on Specialists.
Now in 2042 we have everyone looking exactly like both teams with a ping system and the issue is much worse - character customization will not help here. The only way to salvage the situation in 2042 while still keeping the heroes is faction locking looks and not allowing everyone to deviate even more from standardization.
It is very apparent how broken the hero system is in 2042 when you play Portal with legacy classes and 3D spotting (it's not even BC2/BF3/4 style 3D spotting either it's more akin to BF1 IMO). I have zero visibility/friend/foe identification issues in portal.
- 4 years ago@TickTack121 Agree with all bar sound design. Mine seems good and tbh, i hear TOO many footsteps that half the time i cant tell if its my teammates or enemies.. i would actually rather i could only hear enemies.

@TickTack12164 Players Conquest in "next gen" maybe open the possibility of crossplay with old gen it would be even better

@BuzzfunkYes, i agree too, for me one factor influence the teamplay and maybe help it is more rewards to doing things for team or squad, not only self actions.

Battlefield 2042 in particular feels like the game of the competition in the team deathmatch mode on a huge map. They should really have a look back to Battlefield 2 and 3 in regard of teamplay and infantry-vehicle balance. Back to the roots!"
I disagree in parts, I think that on the contrary, BFV had mechanics totally focused on teamplay/squadplay, for example, being totally dependent on someone with a doctor/support because of life or ammunition, making us walk with the squad closer, until the boxes on the flags was to make people take more of them and have more space for that in case there was a lack of players with these specific types, and what did we have? A lot of complaints about this, it was almost a "Via Crucix" of complains. Is tooooo hard make options for everyone, all choose from dice brings angry people saying "LOOK THAT, ITS A MESS" Even if the game looks the same of Bf3/4 will have complains about, maybe saying they didn't change anything

I’m enjoying the game but they seriously need to add back the content they took away. Here’s the stuff they need to bring back:
Attack jets
Jdam bombs
thermal optics
Pilot gunner unlocks
Reactive armor
Active protection
Scoreboard
Mini map size adjustment
enjoyed the all jet and all tank game mode from bf3 that would be cool if it made a return!
As for how the vehicles work they should really go back to how it was in bf3/bf4 I preferred it when a set number of vehicles spawned at base and more would spawn at a control point location after being captured.
Even if they don’t choose to go back to this they should still consider adding more vehicles that spawn from the captured control points in addition to the set vehicles we get from spawn. I mean it’s 128 players for godsake the number of vehicles should be increased to match the player count. The number of vehicles at the start of the match only takes a few players. Jeeps and other transportation vehicles should already be spawned in at the base for people to use.
This is just me personally but dice should bring back the tank mechanics from bf1 that disabled vehicle components and shots had to be well placed to penetrate the vehicles armor.
- 4 years ago@TickTack121 Your map comments are spot on. These maps are deceptively large. A couple like Breakthrough and Hourglass have flags that feel like a half map away from everything else. The E flags in the city of Hourglass are totally disjointed from a steady action flow around the other flags. Same for Breakthrough with the E and F flags...
It's almost as if two 64 player maps were put together with a big open space between them.
And vehicles...they need to be on the map...not this call in system. I play Planetside 2, and for 128 players, the vehicle count feels empty. In fact, most of the time I felt like BF4 had more vehicle action.
And specialists...really they need to be in Hazard Zone and available in Portal. You proved you can do the standard classes in the Portal Conquest playlists. Make the All Out Warfare standard. Because that's basically what is happening anyway. Most are playing:
- Falck (Medic)
- Casper (Recon)
- Angel (Support)
- Ji Soo Paik (Assault)
The only real variety seems to be happening at Engineer level with Sundance/Boris/Irish combos.
