@kregora I don't understand your thoughts, please clarify!
What you describe is how it works and works fine overall, but some tweaks here and there could make it even better.
The only issues from cannons/explosives that we experienced so far are from Bolts. Do you experience them to be better or worse on other vehicles?

@ATFGunr Agree, new maps wouldn't "save the game" but it would be part of bringing some new interest to the game as people love new things. Me and my squad are playing 3 times a week and we already feel that we play the same map over and over even if they all are extremely good in different ways. We are not bored of them, but we don't get the feeling of variation. The biggest issue might be just that, the lack of variation/rotation of maps which probably relates to the low amount of players. I think a couple of new maps would be beneficial for the game at this point, if they make everything else work as well.

I have been double headshotting the Bolt occupants several times but the vehicle brings a lot of issues and ruins the smooth gameplay as of now. Even if my thoughts that it is overpowered ("The new horse") still stands, I believe it might be the overflooding of several vehicles at a time where 3 bolts isn't uncommon. How do you deal with that?
It is all out war, and that as what we love, but a single Bolt is way too good.

@Ti4_S4ndY Maybe a bit more anti-air power and 100 more meters on the locking would help a bit?
We can't resist to play 128 players but I agree about everything else! Small vehicles for quicker transportation should help to balance out a few more over powered vehicles where transportation are the ones you should be able to call in, while you get bigger vehicles from the deploy. (Or a bit fewer being able to be called in)

    @Zathex Define "works fine". What we is a works as it is scenario. In-game logic doesn't match the rules in reality. If a 7.62mm FMJ hits someone in the head in reality, the one projectile is as deadly no matter if it was fired from a Sniper Rifle, a Marksman Rifle, and Assault Rifle or a Maschine Gun. In BF the Sniper Rifle Bullet kills immediately, with the DMR you need 2 hits, the AR needs 3 and the LMG need 4. Because the balancing is made taking Projectile Type, Firerate, Reload Rate and Accuracy, Recoil/Stability into account. This is the Game Logic I am speaking about.
    About the Bolts 30mm Gun with Explosive ammo, you find the same gun on LATV4 Recon, MAV, AH64GX Apache Warchief, KA-520 Super Hokum Weapon Stations or Gunner position. To me they are all equally annoying. And yes I use the "shoot around cover mechanics" with all of those option when I find those after entering a vehicle.
    The explosive damage should be removed from all 30mm guns because "explosive" ammo should work quite different from grenades.


  • The only people playing are the ones that use the vehicles lol due to the ridiculously overpowered mechanics!

    This game offers nothing for your general infantry player other than helicopter die, bolte die rinse repeat!

    I don't mind being shot by the 30mm weirdly. Sometimes I can even get away. Being repeatedly roadkilled by the Bolte is getting old though.

  • @ElliotLH The Bolte roadkill META is the unintended, yet easily predictable, consequence of nerfing the 30mm into oblivion. And also since Dice nerfed the Bolte front windshield so a BB gun can now kill a driver in one single shot, the drivers have to constantly move, and thus it is way easier to get roadkill when constantly on the move...another unintended, yet easily predictable, outcome...

    Even the LATV4 RECON Jeep can't seem to kill a player when using the 50mm gun....HA

    Perhaps a 1000mm gun would one shot a player???
  • The only gun that kills in one shot when your in the bolte is the anti armour rifle!

    In what world can you justify vehicles need more power….oh let me guess your a vehicle player?

    @DeepSixxxx Yes I think that may be well related with the Bolte. On the other hand I guess it's just easier to get kills that way I Breakthrough (what I usually play) since infantry are a bit more bunched up.

    Really I should ditch my ammo box for the M5, I just can't bring myself to do that quite yet. Instead I've taken to targeting them in a jet and it's fairly cathartic.

    Hold on nope it’s the usual vehicle player entitlement syndrome that says “you can’t possibly be allowed to kill me”

    Then we have infantry dealing with aa lock ons not working correctly and mines not doing a thing, soflam has the range of a pea shooter and helicopters being allowed to bounce of buildings without a care in the world!

    Tell you what let’s just take the guns away and give infantry water pistols!
