Change Sides - How in single mode

To the best of my knowledge, you can't for Solo/Coop. It is an option in Portal, though, but it might change the XP rating and affect unlocks. 

Edit: I quickly built a playlist last night to check. I only changed the PVP type to 'PVP AI' and enabled the option to switch teams, and the XP rating was restricted.

EA - this a problem! Why PVP AI was disabled for unlock modules? 

We need an option to change team by default and WE NEED IT NOW, we can play solo or coop and we are TIED to US all time, bro i want to upgrade RUS, not US, also WE DO NEED NOW that the setting in portal doesnt give restricted condition to the server, EA STOP RUINING PORTAL (more if its possible lol) LET US PLAY THE GAME THE WAY WE WANT FFS.

Try the spearhead map on 64 conquest. At least in portal, you start as RU

At least this was my experience yesterday when I was using the map for easter egg things.

I will also use this chance to complain to DICE about how removing the team switch option did not help anyone and anything. Especially when there are faction specific vehicles.

I've merged your thread with this existing one, as it seems to be about the same topic. 

While manipulating the sides or enabling the team switch ability in Portal will stop you from earning XP, you could create a basic playlist against PVP AI with all maps, and change maps in-game to see if any still have Russia as the player faction (Spearhead in Conquest should still be fine, like UP_Hawxxeye mentioned earlier). 

When I swtich ON "PVP AI",  this disables the ability to gain progress towards unlocking equipment.

No, negative for this answer, sadly i did the test with conquest and big conquest and got Restricted, the only way to play thje other side it play AN OBLIGATED MATCH FIRST WITH US, then the other one will be with RU

You can still unlock attachments with PVP AI set. It's the other changes, like changing sides and other modifiers that will make the playlist restricted XP and stop progress. 

BlindDoII​ It's only two maps, but Orbital and Spearhead should put you on the Russian side (at least that was the side I was put on when loading). I very quickly put together a playlist with PVP AI, so you should be able to use it to unlock upgrades for Russian vehicles, assuming that it does the same for you. The experience code is AB7UC1.
