Not necessarily C4 should have been stuffed with MAV. You can blow up enemy mines on which the MAV can safely ride. The splash from the grenade is enough to detonate the mine.

    my money is on nearby c5 or AT mines that were set off by the grenades.  you were in a prime spot for AT mines/C5 trap (personally idk if i'd put the mines there due to grenade spam).  before i believed this is a one off i would need to personally see multiple instances of this happening to believe there is a problem

    Definitely mines or C5. You can see the explosions come from underneath the MAV vs where the scatter grenades ended up. 

    This is like getting throwing knife kills on armor after planting C5 on them and throwing a knife at the C5.

    One can 1 hit a vehicle if they hit the base, underneath.  Ive done this twice as Lis.  Once to a Wildcat and once to a Bolte.   The Bolte was an awesome shot, even if I do say so myself.

    I posted it here once before.   It got airborne over a hill and I hit underneath it in the air.   I wish I still had that video

    Yup, vehicles hit from underneath can sometimes be crit but it's most likely a case of someone getting lucky/trolling with external explosives. There was a super fun challenge in BF1 where soldiers were tasked with destroying a Behemoth with the Kolibri (watchmaker pistol); I know someone who did it with a shovel and broken motorcycle too lol.

    Even though landmines/C5/whatever does the most damage, whatever sets them off will get the credit

    @Adamonic And it definitely was not...

    We had control of the objective there was noone around to set them. There is no way a C5 or AT mine would of survived given the grenade spam that took place before we took it. Unless your trying to make the argument the mines/c5 are explosive proof to the enemy team.

    @UP_LordPlumber I dont think your getting it. We blew the hell out of the area. So even if there were C5 or at mines they would of had to be deployed after I drove up there as any of them prior to me advancing would of been destroyed.

    I watched our guys push in there were no friendly or for that matter enemy in the middle of the road.

    I was stopped the mav switch to the mortar and fired 2 shots before being blown up.

    There wasnt time for an enemy to run up and plant anything on top of fact a dozen friendly between them and the mav on each side forward of the mav position.

    Let me ask you this. Are you really trying to argue that this game given all the other bugs couldn't have a bug under the right conditions cuase what happened?

    As YLP said, it is also possible that someone in your own team decided to put C5 or mines at you (or the location you drove over) for some reason.

    It is not unheard off that someone is either wanting to grief their own team of has a friend on the other side with who they are working together.

    Yes, there is always the chance that this is just some bug we never saw before, but without any additional repeats of this incident, it is more rational to look for the more simply reasons you exploded.

    Until/unless further examples of this are forthcoming, I'm with most on here in that it was missed enemy or friendly explosives that are the issue here and not a 'bug'.

    i trolled artillery trucks sometimes (BF1) by puttind down 3x mines then setting them off with colibri.  according to the kill cam the truck was one shotted with a colibri 🤣

    @Psubond One of my favorite ways to kill a vehicle is to put C5 and throw a knife at it which explodes C5. You kill a tank with a throwing knife :D
