Re: New Cheaters on BF 2042

@SVND0WN One more thing we used to have, battle reports. We could see a trend of wins and losses, save a few of our best or worst matches with the scoreboard, who was there who had how much score and with what accuracy, K/D and such.

I don't see any conspiracy there that we cannot report players after the match, just lack of features, legacy features as they call them. I have no opinion really which AC is worse, just that when the Easy switched to EA and playerbase boomed briefly, cheaters came and they are staying. The surge has been noticeable in the last few days, not when EA AC launched.

Cheaters are back, try to keep reporting them. I've seen the same 100% headshot kills person on my servers late at night for 3 nights in a row now.

@TheNorthFIN why don't you just block that player? you'll never be in a match again with them, I agree you shouldn't have to but nothings going to change so you can do things to improve it.

@IcylastEve The issue with blocking a player will be that if there's only one full server at the time you want to play, and this blocked person is in that server, you won't find a match and spend time in empty lobbies

@RanzigeRidder2 Oh but if everyone agrees with you over time eventually the blocked folk will be the ones on the empty server. See Big Brain Thinking!

I haven't read anything about blocking players preventing them from being in the same server or squad as you. I'm pretty sure it just prevents you from seeing what they write in text chat and hearing what they say in voice chat.

I forget which company tried to add blocked players into matchmaking. I want to say it was Fortnite. There was a high scoring player that everyone blocked. He had really long matchmaking times because so many players blocked him. He complained to Epic and they ended up doing away with the whole blocked player affecting matchmaking idea.

*Edit* I was wrong, it was Overwatch not Fortnite.

"One of the best Widowmaker players in the world complained to us about long queue times," said Kaplan. "We looked into it and found that hundreds of other players had avoided him (he’s a nice guy – they avoided him because they did not want to play against him, not because of misbehavior).

"The end result was that it took him an extremely long time to find a match. The worst part was, by the time he finally got a match, he had been waiting so long that the system had “opened up” to lower skill players. Now one of the best Widowmaker players was facing off against players at a lower skill level. As a result, we’ve disabled the Avoid system (the UI will go away in an upcoming patch). The system was designed with the best intent. But the results were pretty disastrous."

  • Blocking does nothing but prevent them from adding to friend list and seeing their chat. They can absolutely join in the same match with the match making.

People are saying that you CAN headshot pilot and gunner from a helicopter. Yes you can, even in previous games. This person was playing on same matches on three separate days, every.. single.. kill... was a headshot. Never a bodyshot. The other cheater was using the NVK pistol, headshot me twice and 10 other people on the objective. 100% headshots, all on single fire, not burst.

Saying something can be done, yeah you can get 40-60 headshots in a match. Against bots, heck yeah there's always half a dozen bots in every match. This guy did it from distances and sideways movement that is not natural. Not even a second out of cover and boom, you're done. I've been playing Battlefield from BC2 but mostly from BF3 and so has my friend. We would know how it feels to be on the other end of a sniper rifle. Or an assault rifle, or pistol. Nothing but headshots, one frame deaths. This hasn't happened before and that's the difference.

Cheaters haven't been an issue whatsoever. I'm sure some there have been plenty, in 2 years and about 1,000 hours I haven't seen anything this blatant and obvious. Come back in a few days or weeks when you feel these people crowding back to ruin another game.

All cheaters must be treated equally, it's not enough to just slam individual rage hackers and turn a blind eye to these closet hackers, who adapt their cheating to how the match and the opposition are progressing. The end result is the same, regardless of whether someone chooses to run everything in headshots or only to the body.
Therefore, these pranks that other companies play with cheaters, who get caught, would be more than fair, so they get a taste of what they put others through.

And these "cheat free" European servers, How many closet hackers are there on a single rage hacker, 5 , 10 or maybe they run in 1000's.
Asia has its cafes with pre-installed cheats, then it's not so strange that the rage culture is more widespread there than here, since they don't have to bother, just start a new account and do the same thing again.

@OskooI_007 I believe you are correct. Although I looked around, I could not find any confirmation one way or the other. In an EA thread for another game though, was a thread with comments from @EADarko about how blocking works. They can’t chat you & vice versa, DMs etc. I don’t believe that anyone is prevented from being in the same server by blocking. Can you imagine lol? If everyone who blocked everyone else for whatever reason not being able to be in the same server, the bloody algorithm to do that would be a nightmare spiderweb of cross crossing strings, would take 2 hours to load a match. Nice idea though.
  • My problem is not any cheater. My problem are those thousands of new players since the end of season7. After that season there was an update and from this time on, you get killed instantly by headshots on and on from lowlevel-players with their M5A3 (sometimes AK24). They kill me several times in a round from the strangest positions. And im not a bad player (S548). But at the end of the match they have a k/d from around 8/9 and they are never under the top 32 players from their team. I checked around 30 suspicious players on Bf-tracker and their overall k/d is around 0.8-1.2. Not only i discovered this behavior, some players from my gaming community have the same issues with players UNDER level 20. Everytime i try to contact those players via the ingame chat they NEVER answer. And NO friend request is being accepted.

So we came to this 2 guesses:

    1. There are really a lot of new players (after the end of season7). I dont know why so many players are starting 2042 now, nearly at the end of 2042s lifetime. But if this is a fact, those players MUST have a headshot- or a ttk-boost. So its easier for them to get kills

    OR

    2.  Dice implemented new AI-Bots(with EA-Accounts) that only try to kill highlevel-players (like us) and get easily killed by lowlevel-players. I have no other explanation why all those players have a k/d around 0.5-1.3.

I'm still not totally convinced that there is not some Skill Based matchmaking going on. Don't get me wrong there are cheaters in the game but something else funny is going on here.

    @Sgt_Bugfish

It's nothing new, it's been like that since BF3. They appear periodically and cause chaos on the servers through their chaotic gameplay.
It was also these that were found later on PB's ban lists, players with k/d around 0.5-1.3 and not high k/d players, as most want to believe.

Hi - also lets not forget the DMA cheat - now that is the extreme way of cheating - and think nothing can be done to detect those people.

When people are willing to go to those extremes - then .... I'm out of words. Constant race.

Though once again - will say I do not experience this very often - when I do - I wait - keep eye on person - and when I'm certain I report them and confront in chat and sometimes they ignore - other times they refuse big and some give me the xD thing. They give a * and dont care because it takes forever to get through the cycle to get banned.

When I suspect cheat and it's on the severe scale I leave server. I will still say what I see here in BF 2042 is no where near what I saw in BF 5. Crossplay should be removed - that can cause delay. Region control and ping limits will help on the delay problem - then there is this desync problem - list is long !

BF 2042 is still my #1 goto game when I game !
