Gawd I hope the AA is not as anemic as BF5. Fixed AA does not stand a chance against decked out planes which is crazy. The planes in BF5 are so OP I stopped playing maps with planes. Flying circles harvesting kills just destroyed gameplay on many maps.
- TrasteTh4 years agoSeasoned Ace@stabbinhobo Yeah AA balance is wonky in BFV, no matter how good you get at AA , you will never stand a chance against high altitude precision bombing in a 1 vs. 1. but the main purpose of stationary AA is to deter aircraft from an area, so to some extent it does its job.

Everything was wrong in BFV around Air vs ground and it worked both ways. I'm usually a 50% pilot but left the game 15 months ago. First game since BF1942 where I did not think it was fun to fly.
Never experienced a game where Dice made so many changes without getting it right.
I may well be worried about BF2042 and how they are going to deal with it this time.

The AA in BFV was a total contradiction.
They were great at harassing passing planes far from the area that they are supposed to protect. Yet they were at a disadvantage at a head on attack from a good plane.
So their role ends up being to be the primary target of the planes and distracting them from other targets

- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@SirBobdk Map awareness I would argue… MAA was never really a problem unless an enemy pilot was able to pincer me into it.
