Please, DICE: enable persistent servers and map rotations

This thread is directed first and foremost to EA/Dice directly, so I would directly request a response to the proposal from @Straatford87 @PartWeIsh or someone that works directly with the developers...

@DuaneDibbley I would love for them to try to join the same server in AOW without being in a group. Then after that round ends, see where they end up if they are not already in a group.

Also, I would rather wait in queue to join a low ping server than to join one with a high ping immediately.

I also like to know the map rotation of the server I am on. I would play for hours when I can just stay on the same server. I got to know a lot of the other usual suspects. Now I play one round with random players, and get almost a completely random set of players the next round. Why?

That is true, but it is a good guess that this is EXACTLY their intention at the moment. To kill off the game as fast as possible, saving resources for further development -- they have our money after all -- and also reducing the cost for running any server instances.

I really gave it some thought and I cannot come up with any other reasonable explanation on why they actively ignore even to comment on the issue, even though it is definitely the most requested change if you look at the number of comments in the forums.

Every player with half a brain (even less) can see -- just by trying to play the game in its current state with match making -- HOW MUCH persistent servers would improve things.
From that alone is seems clear that nobody at Dice actually plays the game. Either that, or they have decided to use this measure to kill the game.

I guess I was a bit too fast with the click on 'Accept solution' 😉

But in all honesty -- the thread was and is in vain anyway. There will not be any server browser, despite the fact that it would be easy for Dice to implement. But the game would benefit and this is the last they want at this point.

  @DuaneDibbley If they can port maps from Portal to AOW, they can port the Server Browser too.
  
  Based on the recent change to C64 and the projected Exposure 24/7, it seems clear to me that they have no intention of adding a Server Browser to the base game.
  
  I can also tell you that I will never buy another EA/DICE product again if they don't. I will use my time and money elsewhere, and I hope a lot of other players do too.

    I have my 'checklist' on essential features that I will use before getting the next BF game (if there ever will be one).
    And I can say with 100% certainty that I will definitely wait until after release until enough honest reviews are in by the early adopters. I will disregards EVERYTHING Dice will say about the game as well as all hype by Youtube influencers and the gaming media.
    For BF2042 it is definitely too late now. The game is a lost cause. But it has taught all of us a valuable lesson about pre-ordering any game in general or the trust we can place in Dice or EA in particular.
    Learning by losing. We lost, but at least I have learnt this lesson. And hopefully many others as well.
