Notice how it says "no matter which mode you're playing" Universal, (i.e. no limits/exceptions) etc. Which means there should be no limits in any mode
Where does it say about anything being restricted in different modes? You misunderstand what the above quote means.
Also as I said, game released with no restrictions and that is how it was intended. Restrictions came into place ONLY because of xp portal farms.
I need to refund the hype and waiting time. Is it possible to do so?
I’m bothered by the fact that I spent money on this game because I read and saw an image that was posted that we could progress in any mode we wanted. I then did further research and I read, you can unlock everything in any mode including the trophies/achievements.
Had I known we weren’t gonna be able to get tier 1 progression in solo I would have passed on the game and saved $100
To be honest at this point I’d be happy if they allowed us to get ribbons and tier 1 and disable exp in solo/co op or make it 2 exp per kil.
but to be honest, I’m not sure if it’s just me but even the ai is pretty tough in solo/ co op, they can be pretty aggressive. Maybe I just suck really badly haha 😞

@Spidder81Yeah I played a game of BT that took an hour earlier today. Was able to finish the kills needed with one of my guns, but an hour of game time to get like 15K experience is terrible. Not to mention the AI are useless on your team when playing solo so you have to do everything yourself basically.
I could play as Casper in PvP and get more experience just laying in a bush spotting enemies with the drone in a 30 minutes game.
I agree with you, I am fine if the greatly reduce XP vs AI. On some days, I just want to shoot stuff with friends and have some progress on unlocks.
Hi do the kills count for unlocks and just the progression is capped? Or are both turned off?
Meh, it's getting boring already, sadly. Was fun for like 25 or 30 hours but not able to reach your weapon to T2 and 1 is boring after a few hours. Already looking for a new game, New World maybe?
It's this kind of BS from a so-called AAA game developer that makes me want to vomit. I invested a TON of time and money into this company over the years... BF2, BF2142, BFBC2, BF3, BF4 and BFV... now handed this hunk of garbage. Aren't companies supposed to go forward in development? Feels like this has gone 10 steps backwards. Didn't they learn a lesson from after Hardline failed?
I totally! 100%! Understood why they locked progression up with Portal. But Solo-Coop shouldn't have been touched as it's not like you can edit any of the settings like you can in Portal.
But why is it that Portal progression hasn't been fixed, when it was like... Day 1 of Early Access that they killed progression and here we are almost an entire MONTH and nothings been done? Yet we're somehow supposed to be content and happy playing this hot mess?
And IMO... yes it should be harder to achieve Mastery and Tiers in Solo-Coop/Portal... but to totally lock Tier 2 and 1 out of our hands and force us to play MP? That's some serious BS and why I'm looking at doing a charge back so I can take my $95 I spent on this game and by something that not only works... but where the developers aren't going to ignore me and go back on thier own statements. Or was I dreaming when I read that progression was supposed to be the same across ALL MODES?

@sagagt505 thanks for replying so I can get unlocks on each weapon but only a few? Tier 3 would be like 150 kills? I don't care about my levels really it's just the actual attachment unlocks I'd like

So basically Portal will die a slow death because people wont play with restrictions. Whole discord communities refuse to play it and tons of other people. Well done Dice or whoever you just killed Portal, you know that "love letter to the fans"

Well Portal is a write off. Nothing on solo/coop yet.

Well seems to be over, after todays official answers via Twitter its clear progression is not returning, definitely not in coming future. What a scam game....
@Radious1987thats for Portal only, still no word on solo/coop.
But yeah Portal isnt worth touching now (apart from the odd featured one), many other players will feel the same
