@Jesse165  is fully correct that you can play in full solo mode against the AI bots and that the accumulation of XP and weapon accessories, rankings, unlocks, what have you, will count from there to also be used later in matches on public servers with other players later.   EA explained this in one of the first Q&A sessions they hosted at the EA Play Live sessions earlier this month.  You have several YouTube videos from that session, so all official and well confirmed.

But true, it opens up for the potential of players boosting and exploiting some functionality bugs that we are bound to have when the game launches with the bots... 

It kind of wets my socks to see players can just boost everything solo but hey, whatever floats your boat, right? It's not like we get double damage or anything after maxing out a weapon so it'd just be a matter of obtaining the cooler skins/gadgets a little faster

I would assume it will be similar to SWBF 2 and indeed, BFV Co op where you get less xp for bots than human enemies.

No emotional empathy for Roy Batty, Rachael and all the other lovely replica creatures put into this world for our entertainment pleasure?

i thought that EA said they would be smart and intelligent beings, on equal footing with the other real humans next to them on the battlefield?

Equal strength, equal pay, equal reward!   Or i think we might see them all go an strike with their union for equal and fair treatment.

Thinking about it, i actually expect to see hordes of bots topping the global BF2042 record score card for most XP within max just a few days after game release. As those bots never sleeps, dont take breaks for beer and snacks, or even bio breaks…

Just ruthless efficient.

Absolutely right @DingoKillr ,

From all that EA have shared so far, we human players have zero control on who we are being stacked up against.  And they deliberately even explained that bots would be used to fill up servers if no humans around.  Meaning your scenario there is very likely to happen and there will be absolute zero difference between the two.  Despite that you as the player deliberately chose to play in the multiplayer environment, then despite this ended up in bot-land. 

So as always with the launch of a new BF game:

Lets hope the best, while planning for the worst...

Do players get more points for killing higher skilled players?  You dont get only 50 points for killing a Muppet looking at the floor, as opposed to 100 for killing the oppos best player. So from that point of view, points for killing bots in MP should be the same as human players.  In non MP modes thats a different kettle of fish.
