Re: slide spam

Everyone knows what sliding every two seconds does. It just looks stupid in a Battlefield game. Even from the kill-cam when you're dead you can see people sliding back and forth non-stop. Is this a Battlefield game or Disney on Ice? It doesn't fit like it does in other games to be sliding everywhere. There's this thing called friction which why ya don't see soldiers sliding in and out of cover in even the worst Hollywood movies. Yeah it's not a military sim but it's not a cartoon either.

    "Whah brah! Check your privilege! Battlefield has never been a milsim and realism has no place in this game. If you want a game where players don't look like Silver Surfer then go play ARMA 3. Battlefield has like, um, always been a sandbox game so if people want to slide all over the map then that is their right to do so and if you try to take that away from them then you're like thwarting player agency okay?" /s

    @rainkloudI've been playing BF since BF1942. This unlimited sliding is a new epidemic and doesn't BELONG in EVERY game nor does it fall under what describes a "sanbox" game. Give us jetpacks then, let us wall-run. Hey, I have an idea, how about we collect resources on the map and build * structures with them while we fight?!? lol
    Even counterstrike limited bunny hopping back in the day because they knew it didn't fit in that game. Look at CoD, people bunny hopping and sliding all day long. Now YOU want that in Battlefield and I'm all of a sudden privileged. hah
    I even said BF is not a sim to avoid such crazy banter. Move along. : D
