BF 2042 definitely went in a different direction then what everyone is used to seeing in a BF game. EA and Dice had this vision of this type of BF game and it failed miserably. It took them over two years to fix everything and it's still buried in ruble. I don't know why they even are releasing a season 7. It's most likely only for their benefit for them to feel good about themselves.
