Re: TTK to low? No bad server performance!

I’ve noticed most weapons that take 4 to 6 hits to kill at range “one shot” killing me like I’m being hit w a shotgun at point blank ranges on certain servers.

Most likely poor netcode and crap hit detection. All the hits are registering in a single time stamp = BOOM, one shot kill for players on the receiving end.

I'm guessing this will never be answered, DICE unfortunately doesn't seem to care.

I say they do care because it’s their business. They wanna make money. The problem is they either don’t know how to fix it or it is connected to crossplay which they don’t want to turn off because there might not be enough players to find matches then. And that’s bad too. However I think PS5 and new generation Xbox players numbers are high enough. Same as PS4 and last generation Xbox. There are enough players.

What about the PC community? Are there enough PC players if there would be no cross play?

ttd bundled damage is in BFV and it doesn't have crossplay.

I don't notice ttd bundled damage very often in Battlefield 1, but the netcode contractor DICE hired was working at DICE during Battlefield 1's development.

The netcode contractor who built Battlefield's netcode left DICE after Battlefield 1.

So the guy who built the net code doesn't work at dice anymore because he was a contractor.

Battlefield V released and the netcode ttd issues were horrible.

Then 2042 came out and DICE made bad adjustments to the netcode like 45Hz servers which causes desync with all the other game engine sub systems and is one of the reasons why 2042 has horrendous desync issues.

So yeah, the guy who wrote the netcode and knows how to fix it doesn't work at DICE anymore.

Who knows at this point. I just get happy when I hit a server that feels right

This explains a lot, DICE could definitely do with rehiring that contractor or his equivalent as it needs fixing asap.
