@CPT_GASLIGHT The remedy to that activity is an LMG with AP rounds to demolish the deployed shields. I had that done to me when I did the shield thing in the early days of the game and stopped doing it

@CPT_GASLIGHT If you mean his passive when you say armor plates:

You need to kill 4 enemy soldiers and collect theyr ammo pouches to get the full benefit from his passive, if you want to play arround that.

As for his shield, it’s just his ability, just like it is sundances ability to have unlimited nades, rao has unlimited hacks and so on.
On strenght level it is compareable with dozers balistic shield even though dozers shield is still weaker but mobile.

Which player wouldn’t play with / arround his ability ?
You call it camping, I call it winning gunfights if the enemy seriously thinks he can win the peek from behind my cover.

@CPT_GASLIGHT Not everyone likes the jump around the corner gun'n'run gameplay.
If an Irish player fortifies his sniper nest with an APS and a shield, that is okay. Annoying when Irish is in your squad and maybe team, just a nuisance when on the enemy team.

So I guess your issue is actually with camping, and that isn't exactly specialist specific, only the camping styles are different.
