@CascadiaSRL The issue is like the one in construction. EA wants to make money. They need to do all the popular things that makes money. Character customization etc. that’s what the kids are after and willing to pay for. I personally don’t care for these things. All soldiers could be exactly the same. Back to the construction analogy: to be able to make good profit, builders put vinyl siding on homes instead of brick or stucco. Looks ugly as hell but it sells. That’s what people want mostly. That’s what appeals to them. Game developers have two choices: make something subpar and more profitable or make something superior and be proud of it, but with less profit.
