@G-Recons This reinforces my post on page 1.
Take your BC2 level of destruction.
There are players whinging about the lack of cover on maps and you want any cover available to be destructible!
How the hell does DICE come up with a compromise for that that keeps everyone happy?

Maps like St. Quintin?
is it so "difficult" to think of designing maps like these?
The answer is obviously no: but it is MUCH easier to program blank maps with a few skyscraper here and there and groups of indestructible containers ...

Although I am convinced that the "simplistic" design of the maps is mainly due to the (in my opinion) bad choice of reaching 128 players.
- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@BlackSize23-ITA Where is the destruction in that map? 2 windmills, the barn type buildings and a few walls?
@G-Recons, yes there was! Halfway through the round many flags were completely flattened with little to no cover on them making capping bloody difficult especially with circle straffing helis.
Neither wrong but both contradict the other.- 4 years ago@Trokey66 They just need to hire real battlefield players to test those maps before releasing, i mean test the whole game.. and not content creator I'm talking about battlefield cavemen with their shbuckets

"some walls" (even if in reality it was possible to raze almost everything except the buildings on the flags ... but ok) is still better than the NOTHING we have now both in terms of destructibility and in terms of level design. ..- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace
@BlackSize23-ITAThis is another problem with the 'community'!
You say there is 'NOTHING' in terms of destruction, even going so far as to put it in all caps, but it is objectively false. Many walls and containers etc can be destroyed in this game. This in turn opens up new sight lines for example that can change how a flag, if not map plays. But then you would know that if you had actually played the game.
Is there as much as you would like! Obviously not, but it is definitely more than 'NOTHING'.
