On Redacted there is actually tactics involved. You have to keep an eye on opening and all the different corridors because if a single dedicated squad sneaks past you, there will be alot of problems.
It's a good point of view, but in practice I don't see this happening, there are so many paths, so much rush, that I don't see the team adjusting to create a strategy, What I perceive is reactive gameplay.
It's an interesting map for rush, but the proposal to be a replacement for Metro or Locker doesn't make sense, the essence of the gameplay is not the same.

Metro will always be a top BF map to me. I just love the spam
- RanzigeRidder22 years agoLegend@leonardoleonwf The fact that you don't see it happening has nothing to do with this map, it's the common lack of teamwork which is present in Battlefield nowadays. For that same reason Metro and Locker wouldn't work either nowadays, as you won't get your team in sync.
At least Redacted provides for escapes to people that don't want to stay in the brainless explosive spam and revive trains.- leonardoleonwf2 years agoSeasoned Rookie
I understand your point and appreciate it. However, I think that in one way or another Redacted doesn't have the same essence as Locker or Metro. It is a map that arrived to add value, but not to replace.
It's great to play Redacted, but some of us would like all that explosive spam from Locker or Metro, I confess that at times in BF4 it was annoying, but then I would choose another map, and then go back to Locker when I missed that style of game.
I think similar to hardcore, I'm not a fan but sometimes it's interesting to play. I think it's worth presenting maps that appeal to different styles, in addition, BF4's Battelog is full of Locker, more than other maps, so there is a very high demand.
