Reenable XP on Portal
I feel that XP should be reenabled on Portal, due to the fact it is an advertised part of the game and progression is a major part of Battlefield 2042, and game modes should have some form of reward ...

Progression is for the "Primary" game mode. Not for make your own rules modes.
They need to find ways to mitigate the "stat padding", not penalize all other Portal players for this problem. As others said, it was a big selling point for BF2042 that no matter what mode of the game you play, progression carries over. Portal is just as much a part of BF2042 as Hazard Zone, AOW, etc.
DICE already has access to all the information they need to seek out and identify those who are progressing at extraordinary rates. Now they just need controls in place to help eliminate those who are exploiting the mode for this purpose. .....e.g. throttling of progression in suspicious cases, partial or full resets of progress for obvious infractions and bans for the more flagrant among them.
The problem is Identifying an event that's considered padding....Without False Positives. You might think that's easy to do but it isn't.
Personally I don't think progression or xp in any regard should be gained/awarded for custom games.

.....and I don't think it's as hard as you think it is.
DICE has all the information they need and whether it's XP caps based on time / amount, instances of rapid progression, etc., etc., there are ways that they can at least flag unusual scenarios for either an automated action and/or review. Perhaps that auto action is shutting off progression at a certain point (capping) and allowing a cool off period. ......or maybe resetting progression gained in a suspicious scenario back to where it was before the player started. For those really obvious offenses, perhaps full resets of progression or a ban.
It wouldn't be difficult to at least set up progression thresholds for a given period of time played that could trigger these caps, warnings, resets, etc.
I would think its pretty easy to flag reviews i.e.
XP Farmer
| Mode | Mins | Experience Gained | Kills | XP per Min | % Playtime | Adjusted Playtime/XP Gained |
| AOW PVP | 600 | 10,000.00 | 200 | 16.67 | 0.722891566 | 23.06 |
| AOW PVE | 0 | - | - | 0 | - | |
| Portal PVP | 200 | 3,500.00 | 70 | 17.50 | 0.240963855 | 72.63 |
| Portal PVE | 30 | 30,000.00 | 600 | 1,000.00 | 0.036144578 | 27,666.67 |
A simple BOT could farm this data from their servers - set a threshold of lets say 1,000 XP Per min/%Playtime the stats won't lie after a certain amount of mins have been clocked.
I don't have my actual stats but something like the below:
| Mode | Mins | Experience Gained | Kills | XP per Min | % Playtime | Adjusted Playtime/XP Gained |
| AOW PVP | 30 | 100.00 | 2 | 3.33 | 0.036144578 | 92.22 |
| AOW PVE | 500 | 15,000.00 | 300 | 30.00 | 0.602409639 | 49.80 |
| Portal PVP | 30 | 150.00 | 3 | 5.00 | 0.036144578 | 138.33 |
| Portal PVE | 100 | 3,500.00 | 70 | 35.00 | 0.120481928 | 290.50 |
