I guess recommended is for 4k and ray tracing stuff. Because 1) not so many ppl got such specs these days (due to covid stuff and overall) 2) difference is quite high yea.
I hope there would be an old option to downscale res cuz my 3440x1440 wont take 60fps+ with such specs lol
