@loveubf sounds like you got unlucky there, maybe more so due to the vehicle balance in BT, however not everyone is going to run flak every game because is almost useless on infantry and armor, and unless you are a NB pilot, the flak deals less damage on heavier choppers and has limited range at ~250m, less than a wildcat.

There is no visual or audio feedback when you're being hit by it. Your damage bar simply goes down with no indication that you'll are being shot at. Doesn't matter if you're on the ground, in a vehicle or flying in aircraft, you will not hear or see anything unless you're directly facing the transport/wildcat shooting at you with those bugged weapons.
It is especially bad when you're being hit in the rear because you don't realize what's happening until your vehicle alarms go off at which point it is already too late to take any evasive action.
