I would argue that going back to a repair station every time you lose a part of your vehicle health is more damaging to (vehicle) gameplay. It encourages more camping and conservative playstyles

Your information is outdated, the Sniper rifle in question was nerfed to the ground, I do not even see it being used anymore.
The M5 recoiless rocket spam on the other hand is very prevalent and very effective.
One of the reasons I spend a lot more time as infantry in this game compared to the previous ones is how many and easy to use the anti vehicle tools are.

Infantry game play should be one of the main focuses of the game, not just the main focus, it is a battlefield game aka combined arms. There are better games out there for purely infantry focus.

Which means up to 128 (64 per team) anti vehicle launchers. As in many previous BF games, most of the grief that a team gets stems from its own lack of a proper response to a threat
The only vehicle that manages to strike outside the range of ground based anti vehicle weapons is the attack helicopter which got nerfed once and might get nerfed again.
