Yet again it’s not Specialist causing low population. What about Portal then?
It’s the bugs, it’s hard to run for most people, and currently there’s not a ton of content. The first 10 hours is what you can expect for the rest of your time. You’ll unlock more attachments, but that’s about it. One thing for myself is that I don’t get really excited about any of the maps. I don’t think they’re terrible or anything, but BF3 maps were my favorite. Visually it’s a bit hard to see. Dark uniforms and icons that don’t disappear when aiming down sights.
Hazard zone is a really cool concept. Playing with randoms has been a little painful though. The problem is what’s the gameplay loop? Play to get money that allows you to carry better gear to get more money. There’s nothing to build towards, no real goals. Grind to be able to grind easier. I don’t connect with that style of gameplay at all.
The game is pretty fun and it does feel like a BF game. Specialist do not change the fundamental gameplay whatsoever. The issue is the gameplay loop not being super exciting. The game sold well and people will hop back on whenever there’s an update.
