@infantrypeasant kill trade should happen and still happens in BF. The lack of it is more an issue stopping someone with slow bullet velocity or faster weapon and reflex countering you is rubbish.

An encounter then becomes based on weapon characteristics and not the player.
If both players fire sufficient rounds on target then the weapon RPM and bullet velocity should NOT be the only determining factors on the outcome.
