He didn't. He said the casual player is the one who expects to be able to take out tanks and choppers on their own with ease.
Though I suspect it's a mix of casual players and regular infantry players who just hate playing against offensive vehicles and would be happy if the game made it easy for them to take out on their own.
DICE chose to instead make the Drone more easy to see and hit on update #3
This should enable the soldiers to protect their tanks from drones without removing the option to do the c5 trick if the other team's guard is down.
I think it is more reasonable a fix than just disabling the c5 sticking.
Even now it is really rare for anyone to do this to me with a drone. Less than 1 time per day. Some times I even saw the drone and outrun it into safety

I've got the silver badges for both tanks so I've played them quite a bit both in Conquest and Breakthrough. It's really rare in Conquest, like hardly ever. But in Breakthrough you might have six or seven people at a time with C5 drones in the air and they know exactly where you'll be on the map so it happens regularly.

I am playing mostly on breakthrough and it was rarity to me. Perhaps I am driving my tank more conservatively than my team so I am not often the closest target.
I will repeat with more plain terms.
Comming the next patch the drones will be easier to hit and will glow more like a christmas tree for anyone with eyes to see and shoot like they do with soldiers and aircraft

I'm not sure what weird lobbies people are playing in that this is only happening to them once a day. This is an every match, frequently multiple match occurrence for me. Like @GosBiker said, this is completely broken because there is no risk to the drone user, and replacing their C5 is as simple as running in and out of a couple ammo boxes or redeploying, which gives no one any points for their death.
Arguments for "they still have to be in range for it to be useful" are completely invalid. The range is more than ample for them to be safe without any fear. The drone range is 250m. This isnt short range by any means in terms of the typical BF2042 engagement range. If DICE added the Javelin back into the game and it could hit any armored target within 250m with a slow traveling missile that required no SOFLAM lock that would instantly kill its target, people would lose their minds and call it busted. C5 drones are definitely busted. Let people stick C5 to cars if they want and suicide bomb, at least then they have some risk; the C5 drone has zero risk.
This C5 drone issue was uncommon, but still around, in the early access. Now that more and more people are figuring out about it and posting videos about it, its becoming very popular very quickly.

This is becoming extremely common now, every game is someone camping with Drone and C5. Seen people combine it with angel to have infinite C5.
