No the tanks are not fine, but a lot of their problems are steming from lacking agility in their tracks and turret.
Another problem is how the vehicle spawn system works in this game: It penalizes you for losing the vehicle regardless of if it was your own fault or not and tries to let someone else get the next tank before you can. So it is understandable that one will be frustrated to lose your tanks
When I am in a vehicle, my sources of grief are a lot more often coming from being spamed with rockets and homming grenades than drones. Sure it suuuuuucks to get that random death from above, but at least to me the frustration is focused on how hard it will be to get a new tank with those frustrating timer penalties and the fact that overal the tank slots are really few per team when considering that the map has 64 people per team.
Perhaps if I had more chances to get a tank instead of a light vehicle or nothing , I could had time to get more frustrated with drones.
Seeing how more effective and abundant the "light" vehicles are in the game right now, the first and foremost problem of the "armored" vehicles is their lower numbers and much more restricted movement.
As about the C5 drones themselves, I can agree that they could use a change to make them carry less than the number of c5 needed to oneshot a tank, so 1 or 2 instead of 3.
But I really dislike that title of this topic, disabling anything in the game should only be the result of a really desperate situation that affects everyone (like invincible soldiers, invincible bad company drone and rubberbanding) and not something that happens rarely to most people. This is why I called this an overreaction.
