why would anyone abuse the drone for this?
it is way to valueable. Usually i get about 20k-25k xp per game for just flying around and spotting.

I cant speak for others but I also mostly use the drone for spotting and only use c5 as a secondary option to help defend a flag when I feel that my team is having issues taking out a vehicle. And if I am being honest most times it doesn't even take out a vehicle. I have gotten 10 points I think for disabling a part way more times than actually destroying the vehicle. So yes you are right you probably get way more points spotting.
